I have been looking for a wide 4E walking shoe that has great support

I had worn another brand for five years to my satisfaction and had no to change to Hoka but I am surprised to say it is a better shoe.

This is my favorite HOKA of all the pairs I own...and I now own many pairs! The Clifton has become my everyday preferred footwear - it's good for street hiking, walking to town, or just about anything I feel like doing. I bought this 2nd pair because I've nearly worn out my first pair. I actually bought a men's pair this time because I felt you had better color choices there - they fit perfectly. I love my HOKA's...every single pair...but especially these.

I have the same model/style from a year ago, but I got a different color this time. I still wear the old pair. It's an all around comfortable and good looking shoe. No problems I can find for me.

I like the Hoka Clifton 7's. I do almost all my training in them. (I use the Hoka Rincon 3's for track workouts.) The new Clifton model 8 has too much cushioning for me.

I bought my Cliftons after getting shin-splints and pain from a past fracture/sprain. I am taking daily walks in them, and the problems both resolved quickly. Hopefully I will be back up to speed soon. The shoe does fit more narrow than I am used to (I usually wear Saucony or Brooks), but after break-in it felt much better, and will work well when I want a snug fit. I also bought a Clifton 8 wide, and that fits me much more like my Sauconys.

These are the best shoes I have ever used for reffing basketball. I have made the decision that I will not be buying any other type of shoes to ref in anymore. Thanks!
