I switched over to the Hoka One One Bondi 7 after my disappointment with the Brooks Ghost 12 and Ghost 13. The cushioning provided with the Bondi 7 is outstanding, like walking on pillows. I am 6'3 and weigh 240 lbs. and wear orthotics. My running is restricted to the treadmills at the gym, but I do enjoy going for long walks. After removing the shoe liners, I had no problem inserting my orthotics for a comfortable fit. You do stand a bit tall in the shoe given the density of the cushioning, especially in the area of the heel plus the height of the orthotics. It does feel a bit bulky/clunky on the treadmill for me for running, but outstanding for walking, especially on hard surfaces. The fit, quality, comfort and cushioning are unsurpassed if you are looking for an excellent walking shoe and you may find the same to be true for a running shoe. Honestly, I just ordered a pair of Brooks Ghost 14's, which are a huge improvement over the previous Ghost 12 and Ghost 13 and found them more suitable for my running needs, but for walking, they cannot compare to the Bondi 7. The Bondi 7 will remain my first choice for the best comfort and cushioned shoe for walking.

Just purchased Hoka Bondi 7 shoe in 10.5 which is the size I usually wear, but they were too tight. Returned for size 11, which were perfect. I have been walking in them for 2 weeks about 3.5 miles daily and they have a very comfortable feel. There is plenty of cushion, and cannot feel small rocks on the road where I walk. They appear to be a high quality shoe, perfect for daily walking.

I love Hoka shoes. This is my second pair. I really like the look of them and they are very comfortable. I ordered my usual size 11.5.
