I have other HOKA shoes that are much more comfortable than these. The leather upper is very stiff and presses on my toes. I wish I had bought the ones with the nylon upper.

I bought these shoes because they looked so comfortable, but they were not! The heel is lower than the rest of the shoe. I have loss of cartilage in both knees and walking on my heals causes more pain. Also, I usually wear size 41 and I purchased a 42 and they were still snug. I wore them for a week thinking I would get used to them or they would break in but this did not happen.

There is no flexibility in these shoes. I have owned multiple pairs of Hoka's but I am on my feet for 9 hours 3 days a week and customer service recommend these instead of the Cliftons. Big mistake - had to take a week off because of the pain in my heels after wearing these. Yes I am returning them.

I will say, the slip resistant is pretty good. But as far as comfort it's definitely lacking heavily. I'm a daily On wearer, and thought Hoka was on the same level, but these aren't even close. For the price i expected a lot more. Probably would be 1 star if the slip resistant wasn't good.

First I bought size 9.5 my usual size and squeezed a little, changed to a size 10 and I have a little big, I do not feel the comfort or adjustment that the shoe offers.

I've been wearing Bondi 7's for several years now and absolutely LOVE them. I wear them for work (I'm a letter carrier). They're a Godsend for my bad back... ever since I began wearing Hoka's, I've been able to ditch my regular chiropractic visits. Every chance I get, I recommend them to other carriers, and several coworkers are now Hoka fans for life.
Well management changed and now they wanted to enforce dress code rules, which means I had to switch to leather shoes. I immediately bought a pair of Bondi SR's because I felt it would be a perfect pick. Four days into wearing these and I just can't. My feet hurt so bad. They don't seem to have nearly the same amount of padding on the bottom, and despite being a good fit, I'm getting blisters. I didn't expect these to be SO different in feel from the 7's... boy, was i wrong.

These felt good in the store. Extremely comfortable, perfect fit. Took away my leg pain. However, there is a spot on inside of shoe where leather is stitched in a curve that creates a rough point inside shoe, that rubbed outside of arch of foot. Just one spot. Felt like a knot in that spot. Occurred on both feet. Felt with hands, and very noticeable rough spot on interior of shoe at this point. Disappointed.

My right ankle hurt that I have to return! Been using BONDIs but the height of the collar of this one was annoyingly compressed my ankle! It also has a weird feeling of the shoe tongue!

I bought the Bondi SR to help my feet as I'm a server and am always on my feet for long stretches at a time. I didn't even get to try them out as the seam cuts across the middle of my little toe. Waited for them to get back in stock, only to be disappointed.
The only positive is that Hoka has a great return policy.

I'm currently looking for the original receipt to see what the return policy is. I bought them for work since I am a bellman at a hotel, and I was definitely in pain after a full shift. I never wore them again. I thought for the price being almost $200 they would be super comfortable and like walking on clouds but they were stiff and rigid

I primary bought these shoes for work, I have never tried on Hokas before these shoes, and although the bulkiness is something to get used to. I work as a surgical tech, and thought these would be perfect for my line of work. I was mistaken! They're not comfortable when standing still. They're okay for days you're busy walking. But this is a common issue I have been seeking with big brand shoes that claim comfortability.

I work as a server at a busy restaurant. The comfort is there, but they are not breathable, which makes your feet hot. The slip resistance has held up very well after one year, however the leather/plastic has began tearing on both shoes from the bottom outsole near the ball of your foot where the shoes crease. Although they are great shoes, I was dissappointed by the durability after 1 year. For contrast; I could buy a pair of crocs that are comfy, slip resistant, water resistant and more breathable every six months and still save 30 dollars a year compared to buying one pair of the bondi SR.

I bought these couple years back and made a review I never saw the review anywhere after I made it.. as far as them being water resistant I work in the kitchen and eventually what was supposed to be leather peeled like paint.. and cracked.. the souls were pretty slip resistant but they squeaked so bad people could hear me walking through the hospital from 100 ft away easily.. these shoes lasted me 6 months before they were so bad I couldn't even wear them anymore.. honestly I didn't feel the comfort I did and a pair of clifton 8 i had.. this was the most clunky humiliatingly loud walking shoe I've ever owned.. for the money you pay they should last longer than 6 months.. I'm an older guy almost 60 years old and I'm not an avid jogger or anything like that so if they're going to fall apart on me what are they going to do with somebody that's very active..Junk

I like the upper. Water repellent.
The inner sole is not as cushioned as I had with my old Bondis.
The non slip sole is an improvement, but that change takes away from the cushioning as was present before.
It's taking more time to break in. Not as forgiving.

I had an issue with my first order that was resolved through a truly lovely customer service person (Courtney - please give her a raise!) and was able to get a discount on shoes for nursing school.
These might be the closest thing to non-permeable barefoot shoes for nursing school I've seen on the market. While HOKA is not a wide toe box, barefoot shoes brand, they offer wide sizing, which is fantastic compared to other nursing shoes allowed in nursing school.
If you're a nursing student - please get these in wide over those narrow "nursing shoes", your feet and body will thank you.

Price is high and I expected more comfort and quality. I have only had them for a few and the stitching around the toe is coming out. This my first and most likely last pair of Hoka shoes. I believed the hype. For almost $200 absolutely not worth it, at least I do not think so.

Your claim that these are approved by the Podiatrist Medical Association I find very dubious. These shoes are anything but helpful if you have Plantar Fasciitis or trying to prevent it. They are the exact opposite of what one would want with this affliction. Way too much cushioning which stretches the Plantar Fascia. The Biondi 8 doesn't seem to have as much room in the toe box as claimed. I'm very disappointed!

I didn't give them much time to be honest, and maybe they need to be broken in longer but i wore them 4 times and they caused extreme pain for me so im exchanging them for the much more comfortable clifton 9s

I've worn Hoka SR shoes for years, gone through many pairs. Always, my experience was good, these shoes fit my needs perfectly. However, the last pair of shoes both made groaning, squeaking sounds when I walk. I had to return them. Two months ago, I returned a pair of new SRs because one shoe was making noises. These SRs were intended to replace a 6 month old pair that had the toe caps coming unglued. So, now I'm down to one old pair of SRs. I hope Hoka gets a handle on the quality control. Hoka SR used to be a truly great shoe.

I am going to start off by saying, I have been wearing Hoka Bondi's since they first came out and have always loved them. In the past, I would buy a pair run in them 4-5 times per week and they would hold up for years. These I bought because I thought would hold up great, they started cracking 4-5 months in and the shoe is literally separating from the heel. Please fix these shoes, I am not sure where you are making them now but the quality has gone downhill big time. I am extremely dissapointed and will be sending back hopefully for an exchange.
