I wear a 6.5 wide. These shoes toe box is perfect, the padding is splendid without being unstable. My issue is with the back of the shoe. It is so wide, i can't run in them. My heal slips out. I wonder how many people who buy athletic shoes have very heavy ankles. Hmmmm This is a common problem with wide width shoes. Also, for wide width shoes we have 2 boring choices. Please do a better and you will have my loyalty and I imagine a following.

These are absolutely wonderful walking shoes. I have back issues (actually will be needing surgery) and these are so supportive that walking is still possible. Lots of cushioning is the reason, for sure. It took me too long to discover Hoka Bondi 7s, I confess, but now my daily step count (love that Fitbit!) is back on track, as it were.

My podiatrist recommended these shoes since I recently was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my foot. It has almost eliminated my foot pain by wearing these shoes! I just ordered a second pair.

I bought these and the Clifton 8s to see if I could find the “third bowl of porridge.” I have wide feet, with a variety of foot problems.
Hoka has done what many other companies have - REALLY limit the color options for people with wide feet. The Bondi 7 have a firmer cushion/sole than the Clifton 8s that definitely plants my foot/stabilizes it. They seem to have worked on reducing the clown shoe look but that seems to have been a trade off because they are NOT NOT NOT wide, despite being designated as such. I’m glad I sat for a while with them on because while they felt snug but comfortable when I first put them on, now my feet have gone numb. Oddly, while walking they seem a bit less problematic but, I don’t stand all the time. I’ve tried loosening the laces but that did not solve it either. So, I guess they will be going back. Its unfortunate, because I do like the level of cushion while being stable. Maybe I will try the men’s version or perhaps another style. I suspect if you have “normal” width feet you will need to purchase a wide version of this shoe.
The “rocker” design is less obvious in this model, which I find more comfortable, despite the my width complaint.

I can't say enough about this sneaker. I have suffered from plantar fasciitis in past so only buy shoes w/ good support. I frequently feel pressure in the ball of my foot so wanted plenty of cushioning there. More importantly I currently have an injured Achilles tendon, and wanted something I could use for long walks on sidewalks as I deal with this. These shoes have so much cushioning and support that they were heaven and totally suit my needs. A friend with different foot issues (really narrow foot, plantar fasciitis) saw me in them and said also wears Hoka One One and loves then. We're not runners, just 50 somethings who don't love to exercise but have have tried to up our exercise while dealing w/ aging bodies, and we're thrilled with the shoe.

I've been wearing Hoka shoes for several years now. I'm a nurse, so they're great for being on my feet. I've also had foot surgery, so the Hoka Bondi and Clifton are my favorites. I size up, to accommodate my custom orthotics. Hoka shoes are worth every penny!

I absolutely love my new Hokas! My feet feel so good after my walks. I would definitely suggest taking time and being careful while getting used to the higher soles. It's easy to turn an ankle while adjusting but well worth the effort. Just ordered a pair for a friend and hope she loves them as much as I do.

The fit is true to size, most comfortable athletic shoes I have owned! I have arthritis in both of my great toes, helix limitus in my right great toe, as well as a bone spur. I have found it ridiculous to find a pair of athletic shoes that I can say are comfortable, and have a toe box that is not only wide enough for my poor toes, but that is not ugly! I love walking again!

I am 59yo, 5'11", 135lbs. I have recently begun running again, this shoe provides the cushion needed for my achilles soreness. Also, my knees tend to hurt when running on hard surfaces and these seem to help a great deal. I ordered a half size larger as recommended by running experts and this also helped. I have narrow heels so I use a special lacing technique and they fit perfect, no slipping. The toe box is adequate, I also use a Vionic insert as the arch support in the shoe is good, but I have very high arches and need the extra support. I would recommend this to anyone who needs cushion and pronation support.

I usually wear an 8 in all shoes, including running. I ordered an 8 in the Bondi 7, but the toe felt a big snug. I've never ordered a Wide shoe in my entire life, but Zappos policy is so amazing, that I returned the 8's and ordered the 8 Wides. They were perfect. The overall comfort of the shoe worked for me, because I have a forefoot plant that always aches after running in Brooks or Saucony's, or any other running shoe. The Bondi 7 is pricey, but my feet are important to me!! I'd rather pay more than be uncomfortable.
The quality of the shoe is outstanding. Yes, it is like a cloud. Not too soft though to the point of squishy. I'd say it is an extra level of cushion for people who have issues with their feet. Very comfortable even after running for 45 minutes.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks, Saucony, Asics

These shoes were very comfortable and stable. I ordered Wide instead of Medium to accommodate bunions and foot spread but as it turned out they were just too wide and I sent them back. I would reorder these in a Medium next time.

This has been the best shoe I ever bought. Fits true to size! I do have a comment, for the first few time I wore them, it was a little uncomfortable on the inner foot arch support. BUT, it's because I never had a shoe that supported like it should. I plan on bury more!

I started walking a lot further the past month as part of a step challenge and my running shoes just weren't cutting it so I decided to purchase walking shoes. I heard good things about the Hoka Bondi 7. Unfortunately, every time I try to walk in these shoes I end up with horrible blisters all over my feet and sore feet :( Really disappointed to have spent so much on a pair of shoes that leave me with sore feet.
BUT
These shoes do have A LOT of cushioning and my mom got a pair that work for her. I'm assuming that my feet just aren't meant for these shoes and I wish I tried them on somewhere rather than just ordering them online.
