Although it is suggested to go up 1/2 size for a tennis shoe, the raised toe grip area manufactured into the inner sole hit me in the wrong place on the ball of my foot. I originally purchased a size 6 and have walked easily in them, but was afraid I might catch the toe and trip, so decided to try the 5.5. I am completely satisfied with the size 6 and have no issues...so I am returning the smaller 5.5 pair.

Thanks to the awesome Zappos feedback community, I was able to search the word “ankle” on the reviews. I was trying to choose between this shoe and a less expensive brand that appeared similar. What was not similar was the reviews for working with ankle injuries and a walking boot. Hoka One One was clearly the best choice. The real test was the “ahhhh” factor and how incredibly stable the shoe feels on my good foot. I needed a higher heel so that my hips would be in line while wearing the orthotic boot for my broken ankle. And when I’m ready to put the other shoe on - I’m confident that my Physical Therapist and my ankle will approve. Thanks for speedy delivery too, Zappos!

I normally wear a 10W -- in EVERY kind of shoe and every brand. But these 9Ws are perfect. The 10Ws and 9.5Ws were both far too long. These shoes are amazingly comfortable. So squishy and yet supportive. Big fan.

Love Hoka's! They're like walking on puffy clouds. The light gray color is nice too. This is my 2nd pair of Hoka's.

I wear these for a 13 hour shift in the Emergency Department, they were recommended by an ER Doctor, and they have been the best recommendation. My feet and legs are never tired and they are so cushioned it gives great spring in your step. They are light . I love them. This is all I will wear for work, after trying different clogs. Shoes sneakers etc for 35 years !

I am a true size 9 women's shoe, but for this zappos recommended a 9.5. I am glad I chose the 9.5. For reference I wear a size US women's 9 in birkenstocks and impala roller skates. So I guess this shoe runs a bit smaller. Nevertheless I love the shoe, I feel like I'm walking on a cloud, I feel stable and my feet do not feel fatigued at all even after a long day at the hospital. I have tried adidas, nikes, vans, yeezys, and they were all disappointing. They were comfy at first but then my feet got fatigued. I will choose Hoka's from now on. They are bulky and they may feel like clown shoes at first but the thought quickly disappears when you realize how good your feet feel!!! i even got a compliment on them today.

I ended up returning because they were too big. I measure a size 8. I have rheumatoid arthritis and like a little extra room in the toe box. I always wear 8.5 in my New Balance 880’s. The cushioning on the HOKA’s felt great, but they were just too long. I returned and purchased directly from HOKA because they had a different color that I preferred. A size 8 was perfect.

I have a black pair for road walking so I knew they are great shoes. This pair is for work since I work 12 hours shifts I knew they would work great for this too.
