Really like the color selection (grey and black gets old), softness (not scratchy at all), and warmth of this shirt. Very much appreciate that Smartwool stayed with 100% wool too. Only complaint is that the arms are made for a human monkey. I'm 6'1", 195 lbs, 44 inch chest, and have above average length arms. Bought an L which has always fit me perfectly, and the arm length is down to my knuckles. Not a dealbreaker, but a weird cut compared to...literally any other piece of clothing I have worn.

Got this b/c I needed to replace some very old LS shirts. It's amazingly comfortable and quite warm. Great as a layer around town during the transition season weather (50s-60s), especially nice for days when it is warm during the day but cools off in the evening since it packs down reasonably well. It's also subtle enough to wear just about anywhere. Haven't had it long enough to speak to durability and haven't taken it out on the trail yet

Just bought this as an undergarment for drysuit diving. Works like a charm; warm, soft, and breathable.

I wear this wool undershirt with my foul weather gear on a racing sailboat on off shore, long distances races where the weather can get very wet and very cold. This shirt, along with the long underwear, keeps me comfortable and cozy. Love it.

I bought this top and a bottom as a base layer for a recent trip to Iceland. It was the perfect base layer. I wore it nearly everyday, without washing and there was no stink - even slept in the bottoms. It was a little thinner than I expected so I brought along my fleece thermals as well, but I found I never needed them. This shirt was warm on cold days and breathed during the more strenuous hikes. My typical layering system was this as base, fleece for mid on really cold days, and 650 fill down puffer as outer. I found that for Iceland in March (temps around 30-32 degrees F during day) I just needed this and one other layer.

I love the pattern, the thickness and the softness of this top. It's great for layering to ski. Not too much nor too little.

The warmth was great! Wore it on top of the smartwool short sleeve and a mid layer and then a ski jacket. Had no issues with -15 wind chill. The fit was perfect. I'm 6'1" and 140 lbs. The length is long enough to be packed into my ski pants without coming out during activity.

My husband is a large Tall Norwegian man. He needs it to fit his torso and long arms! They are great! As we just had 12 inches of snow and he is nice and warm, even while shoveling snow and ice!

I purchased three men's thermal base layer crews and the fit was perfect for all three. They use them for added warmth while skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing.

We have purchased this same Smartwool baselayer set for an entire family every single year (when someone outgrows theirs) because they are the GOAT baselayers. They keep you warm without smothering you. It's like a warm hug on a cold winter's day. No sweating just solid warmth. Great for skiing or just a day in the cooler weather. Highly recommend to all.

I'm such a fan of all things Smartwool! The thermal merino base layer crew is essential for cold weather. I own two of them (along with matching leggings) and finally got one for my husband so he can experience the magic. They're amazingly warm for being so thin. Worth every penny!

Always been a cotton or cotton-poly blend Henley under-layer wearer til now. This changed everything. Significantly warmer than cotton. Didn't get hot and sweaty while shoveling and cold and damp afterwards. Definitely wicks moisture better than cotton or cotton-poly blends. If this holds up to wear and washing I'll be buying several more in the future.
