Whether I'm dog walking or fly fishing, during winter I'm never without my smartwool base layers!

My husband loves smart wool long underwear- he had his last set for years- finally got him new ones for Christmas- perfect fit, soft, durable and comfortable!

Working in the cellar in winter, these are a help under jeans; walking in sub-freezing weather, these keep the wearer warm. Smartwool clothing is the best that's made in the US.

My husband works outside in the Midwest winter. These keep him warm all day long.

Another great Smartwool product. It is nice to see colors other than black for base layers.

I work outside year round so sometimes i sweat and these really help to stay warm and to wick moisture!

I love the heavy duty waistband because I'm a bit roly poly. Super warm, I've worn them every day since they arrived.

I've recommended Smartwool to other friends of my husband. They too are older (age 70's) and are cold, especially at night. Smartwool keeps them unusually warm and the fabric is soft and lightweight! Feels good against the body.

Due to a health condition, my husband lost a lot of weight. As a result, he was always cold. His warm, soft Smartwool thermo base layer bottom, however, has turned cold days into comfortable ones. Thank you, Smartwool.

These thermal bottoms are a great match to the top (got both). The fit is true to size, snug but not restrictive, and extremely comfortable. The fabric is soft, breathable, and very warm, making them ideal for winter weather or as a base layer under pants. They stay in place and don't feel heavy or scratchy. Overall, a high-quality and reliable base layer.

I bought this for my husband. It is Perfect for extra layer of warmth in cold weather conditions. Love that it's merino wool and is breathable. He loves it!

Wonderful product. I wear a pair of these everyday when I teach skiing. Also very comfortable to wear around the house. Two things make this layer a game changer: doesn't smell, even if you sweat in it for a week, doesn't smell at all. Secondly, the base layer dries quickly which is a must when working in cold wet conditions.

Love these, but just a heads up. For whatever reason the grey thermals feel softer than the black for the bottoms and the tops. I don't know if the black dye affects the softness but I would recommend getting any other color besides black for this reason.

Smartwool is not meant to be dried in a hot dryer-I dry mine on medium for about 5 minutes or less just to get them warm. Also I turn all my clothes inside-out. There's less wear on the fabric with clothes tumbling against each other, and less fading for most garments. Smartwool will last a long time.

I use this to keep myself warm during winter hikes and they are great! Comfortable enough to sleep in as well. I know it is expected that wool will attract some fuzz and pill a bit, but that is my only complaint. Functionally, these are amazing.

Got these merino "long johns" for my husband, who hates the cold. I think these will make a big difference in helping him get through winter more comfortably. YAY!
