This is the bottom of the set I purchased for my brother for Christmas. I got him a set last year for Christmas and he loves them. He is a downhill skier and appreciates the warmth and comfort provided by the base layer of 100% merino wool. I have to say that this year my shopping for him was easy as can be because I knew how much he loved the set last year. Thanks Smartwool!!!!

I live in West Yellowstone, MT. The fit is perfect and the quality is excellent.

Perfect for a second layer under my waders. Kept me at the perfect temperature wether in the glacier fed rivers or hiking up the trails.

I got a pair of these two years ago and they were my go to every time I went outside in the winter here in Alaska. Perfect thickness and regulation of warmth and breathing. My car was broken into and they were stolen and I felt lost without them. A huge hole in my wardrobe. Now I am complete, and even two pairs would be helpful.

In cold weather

Wanted to try something natural after using UA base layers. The UA base layer is 100% synthetic and feels gross while sweating. Also going from a outside cold environment to a warm inside environment was unbearable. I have none of these problems with my new Smartwool base layers. Comfortable, breathable and wicks moisture away better any material I've ever worn. I'm definitely going to try out the socks now, lol. #sweepstakes
