After retirement I wanted a casual shoe to wear daily. Sperry Orleans Gold Cup has surpassed all my expectations. Comfort, style , superb construction. The ultimate compliment is I will be purchasing another pair soon.

The product was good overall but unfortunately didn't fit because it was too wide.

I'm glad to find the Top Siders with a white sole and stitching. It's a good shoe with support.

I'm thrilled with the look and feel of these shoes. This is probably my sixth or so pair of Sperry boat shoes. I've had both gold cup and non-gold cup versions of these shoes, and I think that the former is usually worth it. My main complaint is that after only a week of wear the insole has already begun peeling (see picture). This is the first time that this has happened to me with a pair of Sperry's boat shoes, but it is really disappointing since it creates an annoying lumping feeling in an otherwise wonderfully comfortable shoe. Perhaps that's why these are being discounted? Note: the amaretto looks great!

The color on the image on the webpage is darker, even the description shows TAN, the image shown is more for a BROWN.

The insole lining peeled up immediately. The color of the leather is real nice. I like the shoes just annoyed by insole rolling up

I really like the shoe and it is well made. Would give it 5 stars, but I had to return once because they size 11.5 was a way too tight on my foot. The 12 arrived and is snug, but doable. I think they'll break in well and stretch once I'm wearing them on the boat and the leather gets wet, etc. That is usually the case.

I have been a Sperry Boat shoe fan forever. However the gold Cup line brings an extra level of comfort not expected.

All items about this shoe are great with one exception. The inner sole came unglued from the bottom. Same issue with the pair I returned. Added glue and better than new. Been Sperry only for over 40 years.

The inner sole has engraving of Gold Cup. the engraving is too rough and uncomfortable when you wear the shoe. I changed 2 pairs both had same problem. Previous makes of the same shoe did not have this problem.

Good looking shoe but started falling apart within the first week of wearing .. I thought if I paid more for the "gold cup" the quality would be better ... no better durability than their lower priced items

Inside lining is loose & sticks to my foot when taking shoe off. Quality of Gold Cups is not what it used to be.

Not super happy....I wear between and 10.5 and 11 and I ordered 11 for this shoe. And they are still tight after wearing for a few weeks...I was hoping they might stretch. So worn in, but still too tight. Not sure if it is this shoe, or all of them.

My gold cup shoes weren't made in Maine for the extra cost as I was expecting, out-sourced to Indonesia. The quality isn't there any more.

Sperry used to make a great shoe, but the quality diminishes with each pair I buy. My last pair of GCs lasted less than a year before the leather insole tore - about the same time as my pair from three years ago. My current pair is only about two months old and one of the grommets detached. I would normally overlook this minor flaw in craftsmanship; however, the shoe is no longer anywhere near water tight. Walking in wet grass results in soaked feet. This is on top of the heal pad becoming unglued at the ends and rolling up when only a week old. Otherwise, it's a very comfortable shoe. Too bad it doesn't last. Time to consider other brands. Sperry is no longer the gold standard of boat shoe.

These shoes are a far cry from what they were. Poorly made does not begin to describe them. The inner liner came unglued 2 times on 1 shoe and once on the other. I reglued them with Elmer's.

Purchased a pair of the Gold Cup Original Orleans Boat Shoes and everything about the experience of dealing with Sperry was tragically difficult. First, it took them over two weeks to deliver the shoes. Hense, I could not even get them before I left for vacation. When I returned home to try them on they were incredibly cheaply put together. The Materials were ok ,but the fit and feel of the shoe is so flimzy now, no support at all. They were like wearing house slippers. I used to wear the Gold Cup Dock shoes but when the new company took over Sperry they discontinued them. Quality has gone down hill ever since. Too Bad, time to say goodbye to a shoe brand I had loved for 30years.
