I'm going to be one of the dissenters and say I am SO grateful that the upper strap is as big as it is. I have high arches and any strap at the top of the shoe is usually too tight and uncomfortable on me. In this style, it fits properly against the foot, but doesn't dig in. I can wear them with the strap down a tiny bit on my arch, or even pulled up over the highest part of it for more security. High-arched girls, this shoe is your friend. Having said that, anyone without this foot "feature" will probably find the strap to be loose. 2nd bonus is that the toe strap accommodates a wider foot. 3rd bonus is that the outer edge of toe strap actually secures my pinkie toe, which tends to want to be an escapee. As for sizing, I'm normally a 7.5 in most brands. I'm normally a 7 in any SW shoe. In THIS shoe, I had to go to an 8. I originally went with my usual SW size (since they are normally 1/2 size big on me) and I had lots of heel overhang. 7.5 was better but not perfect. 8 is perfect.

Love these but the heel one shoe was not mounted straight, so returning because they were defective. I hope to exchange for a pair that is not defective. They are a tad wide for me, but I have narrow feet.

I was so happy with these shoes - got them day before a wedding that I was guest at. Didn’t get chance to break them in, yet they were super comfortable! while a 3” height, felt so much like a wedge. They are stiletto style, so, walking thru grass not so great. But after that, perfect!!!

I gave comfort 4 stars because, let's face it, they are heels... not exactly comfy sneakers. But these truly are a comfortable heel. I am a 9 in most shoes and a 9.5 in Nike. I have a thicker foot so I went with a couple of reviews that recommended sizing up. I got the 9.5 and it fits perfect.

These shoes are well worth the price, although I did have to go a 1/2 up from my normal size. That was no problem, however, with Zappos great customer service who take care of the exchange transaction in only 15 minutes!!

I’m in between sizes 6.5 and 7. I squally go for a 6.5 in heels but this I would half gone with a 7.

Beautifully crafted shoe but the instep strap was too large and therefore did not secure my foot in the shoe. Regretfully, it had to go back.

The left foot fit perfectly but right foot toe strap was too tight. I’m uploading a pic at step 3

Soooo sad these didn't work for me. The straps are just too thin for me to walk comfortably and they pinch my small toe.

Everyone is correct about the top strap being way too large. There is at least 1" excess strap so that it sits away from the foot. I thought about asking my shoe guy if he could adjust it but it seems like too much trouble, so I'm just sending them back. That said, despite the excess leather it didn't seem like the shoe was going to fall off (any more than any other slide-type sandal) so if you didn't hate the aesthetics of the top strap floating far away from your feet you could maybe make these work.

These are gorgeous, and weren't uncomfortable. The straps weren't as stiff as I expected them to be and didn't dig into my toe too much when taking a step. But there were two problems for me: 1. bit too narrow in the front (I have medium to medium wide feet). like ok if i am walking in the house to try them on but I couldn't imagine actually wearing them for any extended period of time. 2. The heel felt a little spindly and unstable. If I tried to walk on cobblestone, I'd probably hurt myself. Too bad though, they really are gorgeous and fun in person.

Love these shoes! They will require a little breaking in to be 100% comfortable. They arrived when promised.

These are beautiful on! I’m normally a 7.5 and I went up a half size to an 8 and the fit is perfect for my sorta chubby feet. Everyone I know with normal/narrow width does well ordering TTS

These shoes run true to size and that is not always the case with Stuart Weitzman! This is such a classy, sexy shoe and it's just the right height which makes it comfortable for walking! This shoe can be worn dressed up or down. It's my fav and ordering in several colors!

Bought these for a recent vaction. Super cute with everything from sundresses, to dressy capris and pants.

The leather was soft and didn't need any breaking in. The shoe itself was very nice and the fit was true to size. I am normally an 8.5 and the 8.5 fit perfectly. The only flaw to this shoe was the upper strap. It was just so big (and I'm not talking about where someone with a larger foot wore it and stretched it out). The strap was very unproportionate to the rest of the shoe in terms of how big it was. The heels height is just perfect; not too tall but tall enough to add some height and lengthen your legs. If it weren't for that one strap, I would definitely keep these. Sadly, these are going back.

So nice but my baby toe was cramped and I knew I would not be able to wear these so returned them.

The upper strap isn't adjustable and I am sadly flat footed. I could not get the shoe to stay on my foot. That being said, I enjoyed trying them on. They are gorgeous shoes.

Top strap super large and I have wide feet

I ordered a sz 9 shoe. Zappos sent 9 1/2. Had to wear for wedding and didn’t have time to send back
