I buy these for my children for school. I want a solid, comfortable, and supportive shoe for daily use. Stride rite seems to do the job for that when it comes to wide feet especially. As far as style, it is always hard to find appealing options in wide sizes.

My daughter loved these shoes and was able to run around for a full day party without any pain or discomfort.

Very durable shoes for a 7 year old!

My daughter thought the shoes are very comfortable. She wears them with her Sunday dress, so she doesn't use them daily. They were very comfortable from the first wearing and they fit well. She wears them with tights, so I don't know if it would change if she were to wear thicker socks. The only thing she doesn't like is that the sole is thick and goes up higher on the sides of the shoe than she would like. Otherwise they are cute and sturdy.

The fit was fine. Unfortunately, the foot bed in the right shoe was not placed properly. As a result, there was an uncomfortable lump under the toes.

My 10yo really likes these shoes, and she is particular. She prefers tennis shoes or sandals so shoe shopping is always difficult. I like the look of these and the reinforced toe area. She loves the velcro so no futzing with buckles. All around great shoe for school. Worn every week day for pas two months and they still look good. Will buy again.

Perfect uniform shoe! I thought they looked a little bulky but my daughter (5th grade) likes how they look and have been comfortable right out of the box.

Love the style but size was too big. I Measured her feet heel to Big too and purchase a half size bigger. Way too big.

These shoes are Fantastic!!! I wear a size 4 in Women's shoes. I work in hospitality and am on my feet 8 -10 hours a day. I'm 65, but still like to wear "cute" shoes. These fit the bill. They are comfortabe, and feel wonderful on my feet. Cushion insole, feel like walking on little pillows.

My daughter really likes the shoes and wears them to school most days. My beef is that even the widespread aren't all that wide and the rubber toe caps pull away from the leather sooner than I would like.

These are okay shoes. Unfortunately, they are too narrow compared with SR sneakers. We had to get Pediped branch shoes instead. We also appreciate Zappos making return process easy.

I wanted a dressy shoe for my granddaughter, but also to be comfortable. The shoe is comfortable but is not stylish. It is more for a private uniform school uniform.

too small by a size

These are so cute and they come in a wide width! I really had high hopes for them. Unfortunately they were not comfortable at all. Those with a high instep should consider another shoe. My daughter could hardly get her foot in and it was extremely uncomfortable. Also, the back of the shoe is too high and too tight, pinching and putting pressure on her tendon.

They're fine. Quality isn't great, but they work for school.

I purchased stride rite for both of my daughters for their uniforms this year. Both complain that the shoes do not fit well and hurt their feet. Will be switching to another brand for next year. Also had to purchase alternates for this year as they both refuse to wear these shoes.

These shoes are comfortable for my daughter to wear with her school uniform, but after wearing them twice, the top layer of the strap is peeling off. Absolute junk and way too expensive for such poor quality.

Annoyed. I ordered these shoes through Zappos website but they were sent by Amazon. They are the wrong width and the inserts are missing.. If I wanted to purchase shoes from Amazon I would have done so.

These fit well and are comfortable, but the quality is horrible. Within seconds of tightening the strap, the shoe was scuffed and scratched. Within a week, they were so worn looking that we needed to replace them with new shoes. Absolutely ridiculous for a kid's shoe. Really, these are total garbage.

These shoes are garbage. My daughter attends a university model school and has literally worn these nine times since August and they are falling apart. The stitching on the strap has come undone and the buckle is about ready to fall off. Stride Rite no longer makes quality shoes, unfortunately.

My daughter needed navy shoes for school. These were comfortable and fit the bill. However, after only a few days of wearing these, they're totally falling apart. The strap is shredding and the buckle is falling off. Terrible quality. So disappointed!
