I'm in high school and bought this to carry and I haven't had it long and don't like it. The pockets aren't big enough for all the books I have to carry and the zipper is very sharp. It cut my finger within the first day of using it. Just not a backpack you need for school. Awful thick zipper.

Really disappointed in this purchase. My past two backpacks have been Jesters and this one just doesn't live up to everything I loved about them. For starters the zippers are awful and constantly getting stuck. Also, the front pocket is so shallow compared to the two older versions I have so there's much less storage. I do love the look and color but I don't think I'm going to get as many years out of this one as my other two.

This backpack is very cute but uncomfortable. I bought this backpack to use in high school. This bag has room for all of your books but the straps are very uncomfortable. The straps are short and very hard. They are made of a hard material, making them dig in when you wear the backpack. If the straps had been made with a more comfortable material then I would give this product 5 out of 5 starts but, because of the poorly made straps I gave it a 3 out of 5 star rating. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product to a friend because of the uncomfortable straps.

This is a good backpack to use for high school or college. But the straps are not comfortable. I'm a female with broad shoulders and so the straps make it very uncomfortable and the material of the straps are uncomfortable too. If you have broad shoulder do not get this backpack

Seems roomy at first but filling up the front pocket means it extends into the back pocket, rather than forward. Grabbing anything from the main back pocket means you're scratching up your arm on the bulge from the front pocket.
Front pocket doesn't even go all the way down, which makes the bag very top heavy. I can't stand it up next to my desk when I'm in class without it falling over and blocking off the aisle.
It's fine if you're only putting a laptop and maybe a pencil pouch in.

This backpack is really amazing. It is roomy and is great for school as well. Mine has lasted me a whole year of school and is still in great condition. I will be using this backpack for this coming school year. The only thing that was kind of disappointing is that I wish the side pockets would be more durable. I have a metal water bottle I keep in the pocket and over time the pocket stated to have small holes in it. I guess it isn't made for metal water bottles. other than that, it is a great backpack!

The design of this backpack is kind of a joke. My main issue is the outside pocket. This pocket is very roomy, but once you actually use it to hold things, it ends up taking up space in the main part of the backpack, making it hard to store books or notebooks because there's a huge bulge in the way. I had the same issue with the water bottle pockets on the sides. Because they didn't stretch much at all, half my water bottle was basically stored in my backpack. I had to choose between being hydrated or having my school supplies on me. The backpack is also so narrow it doesn't stand up on its own (unless maybe you have a favorite 20 lb dumbbell you like to carry around with you). Normally this wouldn't bother me, but after many occasions of desperately trying to no avail to prevent my backpack from falling over into mystery puddles in campus bathrooms has led to some frustration. I'm writing like this is the worst backpack in the world, which isn't true. It's an ideal size to carry around if you're in college, it's durable and has zero signs of wear after a full school year, and it's an overall good looking bag. If you're easily frustrated like myself, this just might not be the backpack for you.

I use the Jester for college, and I've had it for a year now. I'm going to stick with it for the next three too. I find that it holds plenty of books, but the front pocket is only a half; it's also very roomy, but if it gets too full it does cut into the space on the main compartment. The backpack is very comfortable, and the sternum strap does make a difference in weight distribution if I stuff it very full. I've also used this for three-day trips and managed to pack my clothes, makeup, wallet, food, and papers without any issues. However, the back paneling is made out of a material that causes pilling on whatever fabric it rubs against: aka my lower back! So it causes significant wear and tear to clothes that are worn while using it. Other than that, I love this backpack! A year of being thrown around and it still looks new!

I'm taking this to college in the fall! This is the 3rd one I've owned throughout my educational career but I love the way it feels, looks, and carries.

I use my backpack as an everyday use for school. All of the pockets are very convenient, it's heavy duty and I absolutely love the 2 cup holder pockets. Great for hiking and traveling as well! I would say that overall the backpack was worth every penny!

I use this product for my summer job. We are required to have bookbags to hold a binder, packets and water bottles, etc. it is very roomy, can fit many items, yet still feels very lightweight!

I read so many reviews of several NF backpacks prior to choosing the Jester. I commute to work in Chicago and needed a lightweight yet roomy backpack. The Jester is VERY comfortable. I have chronic neck pain so I was really excited about the women's backpack. The specially designed straps and sternum strap really make a difference. I also like the two large side pockets for water/coffee bottles. I wish I'd known the front pocket is only a half pocket. The main pocket is roomy but if you have too much stuff in the front pocket, it interferes with how things fit in the main compartment. I'm going to keep it just because I'm too lazy to return it. I will try to make it work.

I bought this for use when I go to classes at the local gym a few days a week that require a yoga mat. I love the strap on the front and it is perfect for storing the yoga mat on my way into the building. This bag is the perfect size for that use. I also use it some for travel and it leaves a little to be desired for that purpose. It could be a little larger.

so when i read other reviews most people were complaining about the size and not having very many pockets, there's a reason there are other backpacks. this bag has two pockets one small in the front and one large with a laptop sleeve. i think that it would be a good backpack for light travel, i use it for school and to pack around my medical supplies as a nursing student in hawaii and i would recommend to my friends. it's a cute small but large backpack that definitely holds what you need and i don't have any complaints. if wanting something with more pockets or more space, read the product description before making a choice.
