Very comfortable heel. Needed a new pair of nice boots to wear with dresses and pants with a lower heel and with a zipper as they fit better and are easier to get on. The zipper is just on the bottom near the ankle. I am 5'1", 110 lbs. Top of boot is just under the knee so perfect for me. They have a more European look than an American Western boot, just enough western to be casual and yet elegant at the same time. The Zipper is covered with the suede which is a nice detail. Price is good for the quality of this boot. As the name says, they are Made Well.

Love them! The heel is just the right height. I did order 1/2 size larger for extra toe room as well as room for an insert.

I'm kind of in love with these boots; I love the style - kinda western but also not - and the suede is really nice. The heel is a little higher than I usually wear but I really didn't notice it, and I wore them for 12 hours yesterday (a 13,000 step day, plus a lot of standing at a holiday party). I'm in between a 6.5 and a 7, usually a 6.5 but since these are boots, and a heel and a little pointy, I went with a 7 and they fit great. I think a 6.5 would also have worked fine with tights, but I could definitely wear socks with the 7. They're fancy and I'm a fan.
