These boots were so beautiful in the picture and I wanted to love them. However, they went back asap. Upon opening the box there was a terrible smell like ?. They had a thick coating of clear paint over them that made them Ugly shiny. They went back same day.

These boots are an absolute beauty... and they are VERY comfortable. I selected width as "felt narrower" but that is exactly why I kept these. My feet are a "little narrow" but not enough to buy the narrow sizes. This boot was comfortably snug, and will break in perfectly! The color is a blend of "medium to dirty-dark blonde". Notice my picture against my honey colored wood floors... the hue leans towards tans and not yellows. It's a wonderful neutral.

These boots are much more gray than black (see photo), and the color is sort of painted onto the leather in a way that makes them look cheap and plasticky. Will be returning.

I purchased the black patent really to wear as booties with pants and dresses. The fit is perfect. I am a true 8.5 and the 39 fit like a glove. I am going to order the brown as well. Really cute and the heel height will be easy to walk in as well. Darling Anthropologie look.

I wear a size 10 but ordered a 41. Fits perfectly. Got tons of compliments!

The material is leather, yes, but it is coated in a sort of plastic white film to make it white (aka it is not DYED white). I can only imagine after a few wears this coating will peel and crack and wear in (but not in the cool way). The outsole is very slippery when walking too. Its like the bottom of these are hard with zero grip. Asking for a slip and fall situation. For this brand and price, this is disappointing. I wanted these to be a long term piece in my wardrobe. Alas, I am returning them.

These are cute but very white and very uncomfortable. They hurt my foot as soon as I put them on.

LOVE these boots! Wore them to Coachella and my feet were perfectly comfortable all day. Another win for Free People!

Very cute boot for the dry season in California. Goes great with a dress for a concert or date night.

Update: Exchanged for my European Size 39 and they fit PERFECTLY. They are beautiful in person, but again, the color is way off from the picture. They are much lighter than shown. They now match my summer tan. Customer Service was outstanding as always and the exchange was hassle free. These are really cute Year round booties as they will look fabulous with everything!

Just got these boots today. I was aware of the narrow fit and color discrepancies mentioned in previous reviews. I’m a true size 8 and ordered a 38.5. At first, they feel snug, but I’m confident they will break in, just like any other all-leather boots after a few wears. If you’re used to boots like Frye, for example, you’ll understand what I mean by feeling stiff at first. The color is totally off! It’s a much lighter shade of brown, almost a cream color. I don’t mind that at all, but I think they should update the website for accuracy. The boots are well-made, and I love that I can wear them with both styles of jeans—skinny and boot cut—as well as with dresses.

Perhaps I'm not accustomed to pointed-toe boots, but these felt a little short and narrow. Otherwise, I love the boots!

Felt a bit big at first but I'm glad I got the size I did. The color was nothing like what was shown online, it was a much lighter color, not brown but more of a fawn color. I was going to return them for this reason but I found a dress they went really well with.

This boot is pretty but it fit tight in several areas and so stiff that I don't think I could have worn them long enough to feel comfortable in them.

These are very snug for me. I wear a size 8 and it was very snug on me with just a light pair of socks. Don't have the time nor energy to break them in. Going back.

fit was tight, i am true 10 this shoe felt like a 9 on my feet. color of boot was a lighter tan with darker toe....

These were absolutely not black. They were also super narrow. I ended up returning them which is a shame because I wanted to like them so bad!

Great western boots. I haven’t worn them for long periods of time yet, but feel super comfortable. The boots are not nearly as brown as is in the picture. The color is a lighter brown—almost caramel.

I have narrow feet and have difficulty finding size narrow. Based on the reviews, these run narrow so I ordered 38.5 M. I normally wear size 8.5 N and these fit perfectly. Color is trendy and good neutral.

These are super cute and comfortable. I wear between an 8.5 and 9, and went with the 9, but could have fit either size. The 9 gives me enough room to wear a more cushiony sock if I'd like. Very pretty in person, quality leather and nice design.

Absolutely one of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn (the first time I wore them was for an entire day of traveling, doing lots of walking in the airport.) My only suggestion is to buy a size up…these run narrow, and smaller than typical western-style boots. I normally wear a size 8.5-9 easily, and had to reorder to get a size 10. Otherwise, they are perfect.
