The material on these sandals is super soft. If I have one gripe about these sandals is that the buckles are strictly decorative, because the closure mechanism is actually velcro. Because I have such narrow feet, I have to pull the velcro so far over that the buckles are very, very close to the outer edge of each foot. That being said, I tried and rejected many, many sandals because ankle straps were way too loose before deciding to keep my Mephisto Tarina. (Because I usually wear Finn Comfort Ikebukuro's, I tried every pair of Finn Comfort sandals, but all failed to fit tightly enough around the ankle to offer the support.) The light colored beige suede is beautiful and I sprayed them with stain repellent before wearing them for the first time.

I am looking for comfortable walking sandals. The leather is very soft, and the velcro closures make the fit perfect. Unfortunately, these sandals have almost no arch support. For a pair of sandals that cost $328.95, I would like good arch support.

I love Mephistopheles and have owned numerous pairs of their sandals. These however were wide and I could not adjust enough to make them fit. I have a somewhat narrow foot but generally wear a medium width.

Although I thought these would be comfortable, I was surprised that the platform was so narrow so the bottom of my foot was hitting the edges on the sides which hurt when walking.

These shoes are so comfortable right out of the box. 5 stars all around. Size 38 (size8) is a perfect fit.

Mobils Mephisto should fit wider than the other families; however, I feel that these fit more normal. You can adjust the toe strap and I know they will stretch out a bit as my other pairs have done. The white has a silverish sheen to the leather which is nice. The white soles clean up nicely but they do get dirty pretty fast. I own about 20 pairs of Mephistos and my wide flat overpronating feet thank me every day. They are not the most stylish but if my feet are happy, what else really matters.

I was really hoping that these sandals would work. Love the style & desperately needed navy.. Unfortunately, the foot bed seems much more narrow than any of my other Mephisto sandals & my toes & foot hang over. I always wear a 9.. might have to give the 10 a try.
