These look more feminine and the picture than they do on person and I just find that hard to believe. With aftermarket insoles they are very comfortable to wear but they look like a man's shoe.

It took a few tries but I finally got some New Balance shoes that will work for me. I take a 8 1/2 or 9 wide. These are size 9 and fit well. Good support, will help my aging feet handle my treadmill walks.

I feel that you should get a half size larger.

Pretty stylish for New Balance. The colors are great ... just enough for a splash. They are plenty wide and true to size otherwise. A good addition to your sporty shoe wardrobe ...

These shoes seem to work well for walking; however, I am exeriencing some back pain and hip pain on my last few walks and am wondering if it is my shoes or sometning else. I had just bought a pair of shoes from Zappos and they were too small so I am hoping this size will work better. I will continue to walk and see.

fit is ok. was surprised that i needed 1/2 size larger than what i usually wear and a wider shoe.

I should have heeded the other reviews, as these were, indeed too small. But I’ve always worn 7.5 in NB, so ordered that size. Had to exchange for size 8.

This shoe is a bit on the heavy side but it is sturdy and provides good support. I wear a 9W in any shoe except New Balance where I have to order a full size larger but the 10W fits perfectly.

Very comfortable, but my toe is touching the top of the shoe... that means I'll lose the toenail if I don't go bigger.

felt too short

Nice looking shoe and comfortable shoe, but seems almost a full size too small. Also, I realized it's barely waterproof, so decided not to try a larger size.

The heel width was too wide for me, even when I tried thick socks. I wanted these to fit, as they have the protector pieces for damp ground. I live in PNW and was looking for shoes I can walk in all winter, which is rainy.

The shoes’ inserts felt too big for the shoe, they didn’t stay flat and felt weird. The shoes don’t have good arch support and the inserts made it worse. The size was ok, returned because of the inserts.

I wear a 61/2-7 in most footwear. Recently began using custom orthotics, which can make shoe shopping tricky. I have 2 pair NB 7 wide and can use my orthotics without issue. This pair seems to have been marked as wide, but is not the same width as my 840's. The tread looked "grippy" and I was looking forward to doing my neighborhood strolling in them. If you do not need orthotics and your feet aren't extra wide, they may be ok for you.

Too stiff and too short. I love the color though.

The fit was a little short. My toes hit front. Shoe was bulkier that I thought it would be.

This shoe was too narrow for my foot. I’m sad to say it’s going back because I really liked the look of it. I should have listened to some of the reviewers.

Fit and style were awesome and was the shape of this shoe, perfect for my foot - wide toe with a narrow heel but this shoe is seriously lacking cushioning both in the upper and lower portions of the shoe. There's not a lot of leather for support on the top of the shoe, mostly mesh. The sole has little to no cushioning. Sadly I have to return them.

Wow, unbelievable. Got a half size larger, 9.5, and wide, and still my big toes hit the edge of the shoes and there is rubbing and pressure against the small toe on the side of the shoes. Not wide enough and still not long enough. Still searching and have tried other brands to no avail. I don't have special issue feet to boot, and still these shoes are probably not sized for US true sizes. Guess I'd have to get a size 10 and extra wide for these to be comfortable.

Fit true to size, width was good. Didn't last nearly as long as my last pair of New Balances before needing replaced.

The shoes fit fine, but I just didn't like the look of them once they arrived. I returned them, but it was a matter of taste. Absolutely nothing wrong with the shoes.

This shoe did not have enough room for my right foot which has a hammer toe and bunion. It was close and I would have definitely kept them if there was a tad more room.

I have worn New Balance shoes for years and never had an issue u til this pair. The stitching around the laces on the inside is very rough and hurt the top of my foot. This pair had to be returned.

These were heavy but comfortable. I chose to keep a lighter-weight pair but this one had a lot of support. It was a close-second choice.

Love the arch support. Love the width. Feel like NB changed their measurements, as I would recommend going up half a size though these technically fit and I am able to do my normal circuit without pain or problem (5 -7miles of trail walking/ running a day). I should say that I wanted a trail shoe for winter running/ walking in Pittsburgh, which tends to be sludgy, damp, wet, muddy and sodden with leaves in the winter months, which I why I switched to these trail shoes over other running shoes I’ve liked more. I am also coming off an awesome pair of Sokas, wondering if this is just the difference. (If I could afford them, I would probably stick with the Soka.) Still, a decent shoe, especially for the price and shorter runs/ walks to vary things up. I also got the Merrill trail shoe, which I love and would recommend without reservation.
