I've been wearing SAS shoes for 35 years. I ONLY wear SAS shoes. The Endeavor Fisherman Sandal represents a very creative on SAS's part. The toe box is wider than any of their other shoes, the leather finish is rough (not a bad thing) and the foot bed is new - a little more support and a little more cushioning. I LOVE this shoe, its the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned! And for the summer, with the airflow of a sandal, its nice and cool.
As for negatives, NONE.
Please note that this shoe is actually shorter than other SAS shoes. For me, this was not an issue at all, and in fact, improved the fit.
SAS: Please do the following:
1. NEVER DISCONTINUE THIS SHOE
2. Include a smooth black and a pebble black finish to the the line
3. Introduce news shoes made the same way, but fully enclosed

Very comfortable. Solid construction. Sometimes getting the ankle Velcro to hold can be tricky you need to make sure the sliding comfort piece is in the correct location and your toes are all the way to the front.

I like this shoe but there is a design problem for me. I have wide feet and when I tried to fasten the heel strap, the Velcro did not come around far enough to attach the strap. I tried every combination of moving the strap, etc., but it still came up too short. Unfortunately I had to return these. Not a good choice for me.

The fit was adequate
my arches are very high and the fit across the back of the shoe was almost at the end of the velcro strap but they did fit!

Like the look and feel. I do have a hard time with the Velcro and at my age I have a problem bending my knees to reach the Velcro but I manage.

I wish the buckle strap (the highest strap) on my size 15s was longer. I have a slightly higher than average in-step plus edema (mostly in my right foot) due to semi-paralysis so I'm having to pull the straps tight into the last eyelets to hook on. The other (hook-and-loop) straps are okay. After all, it's easier to cut a strap shorter than to lengthen it.

Great shoe. But my husband doesn't like the heel buckle. One can't adjust it to be able to take it on and off without unbuckling it. Fidgeting with all the time annoys him. But he likes the shoe.

I didn't realize these sandals were "mens" until I had them delivered and saw it on the box. They were way too big in every way. I had to return them. I like the style and wish SAS would make them for Women.

I have a narrow foot. I bought this sandal in a 11 1/2 narrow. It fits like a regular width shoe. Much too loose fitting.
