I really wanted to love these. However, I tried them on 3 different times around the house and they just were not comfortable. The toe thong is hard and uncomfortable and when you adjust the Velcro closure it can makes the top go a little wonky or sideways. I do have Planter fasciitis and just wasn’t a fan.

I really liked the style of this sandal, but it did start falling apart after probably about the 6th day I wore them. I bought the cork and the "cork" covering started peeling off. I called Zappos to let them know about the defect and they promptly gave me a refund. Thank you Zappos for your excellent customer service!! Additionally, I have worn Aetrex sandals before and love the arch support, however I did not like the Rita style as much- the footbed was very soft and squishy and did not provide enough stability or support for my preference.

Love these - I have narrow feet with high arches, and I love that these are adjustable! They look really nice and can be dressed up, but they don't get ruined by a cloudburst or dewy grass.

The "thong" part of the left shoe was twisted a little more than on the right shoe, and so my foot felt crooked in it. Very cute sandal though

Helps with my plantar fasciitis and is a cute shoe for summer. My left foot is slight smaller than my right and usually wear a size 6. I ordered the 5.5 because other reviewers said they tend to run big. and they fit both feet nicely. The arch support is good but isn’t too high which is what I needed. I didn’t realize until they arrived that the buckles weren’t really buckles, and were really Velcro underneath, but it looks just fine.

I normally wear a size 8.5 wide in Vionic sandals. My doctor gave me Aetrex insoles for my plantar fascitiis (I have had surgery for the problem and these insoles help a great deal.) These shoes were comfortable. The toe post was a little stiff and could be bothersome for some people. The straps are adjustable velcro and can be tightened to fit (I usually can't get Vionic tight enough). The problem I had with these shoes was they were too short in the back. I had plenty of room in the toe area but because of the placement of the toe post, the foot could not move forward any. My heel hung over the back slight bit. This caused my foot to shift inward when walking. I don't think a larger size will help as there was plenty of room from the toe to the end.

These sandals are fantastic and have been a lifesaver for me with my foot injury! I can’t wear “normal” shoes right now without some sort of orthotic support. Considering these are orthopedic, they are more stylish than others on the market and very comfortable. I’m usually a 6.5-7 and got these in a 36/6-6.5. The 37 looked too long, although width was the same (adjusted velcro strap). I also have narrow feet. Overall, a definite must have for my closet!

These sandals may be my favorites! They give excellent arch support and have a cushion sole that makes it easy to walk all day wearing them! I must have 5 pair of Aetrex sandals. I’m very happy with them all, but these are the ones I go to if I’m going to be wearing them all day.

fit and size felt good. toe box was perhaps a bit long for my toes. It had an annoying smell to it - chemical like. I liked the arch support. I just refuse to buy any more shoes with Hook and Loop closure and I spent an hour sifting through sandals and this one got past me. My experience with every hook and loop shoe I've gotten is that after about a year, the hook and loop doesn't close anymore yet it's still a good shoe and for all that money I spend on them, I want them to last longer than a year. and the ends (leather tip) of the hook and loop always curl up. I'm just not doing that closure any more. too bad cuz it looked like it would have been a good shoe for me. I'm just not willing to throw away my money like that. The toe thong also had some edges that did not feel comfortable in my toes.

I loved the look. Have several pairs of Aetrex shoes. I could not keep these on my feet. Either wider than I could adjust for or just a little too short. Unfortunately I gave away and then realized I could have returned through Zappo’s.

Impossible to walk in. Feet slide out no matter what like you’re wearing shoes 5 sizes too big. Maybe the sole is too heavy for the shoe? I don’t know but there’s no amount of tightening the “buckle” that would help. Also when you try and tighten the “buckle” it no longer lines up with the Velcro. The functionality of the shoe just does not work. The arch support is good but the sole itself is also extremely gummy- not sure that would work for heavier people.
