The Carhartt Broxton cargo shorts are well constructed with an inseam gusset and light fabric suitable for warm humid weather. The subdued colors are an additional positive attribute. I bought both colors which were available.

Comfy work and casual shorts

I live in SW Florida and have been wearing these shorts for several years, however they were made of a much lighter Nylon / Spandex fabric and were called "Lightweight Ripstop Cargo Work Shorts." These shorts are of the same design but made of a much heavier material, which mades them impractical for wearing in triple digit temperatures and heat index. I returned them, (boy, what a pain that was) but think they would be excellent in cooler climates. Amazon does not carry my previous purchases any more, so I bought from the manufacturer.
