Like other reviewers I was skeptical about ordering 1/2 down. I wear a 6.5 and 6 is usually too short but I had faith and ordered the 6 and was pleasantly surprised. The fit is perfect with room for my longest toe without it hitting the end of the boot and they don’t flop around on my feet. I can wear with thin or regular socks easily. Not sure about thick socks but there is not much need for thick socks where I live. If you are going to be wearing these with thick socks you may want to consider a size up. Also, because the inside of the boot is more of a textile (vs. rubber) I can put them on easily with no socks.

I originally bought these in 8 and they were way too big and my heel slipped when walking so I tried the 7 and they were way too small. They should really offer these in half sizes if they are going to be drastically different one size apart.

These are very utilitarian yet cute boots. Super-easy to slip on and off. I wear them mostly on dog walks, the park is muddy. I like wearing these short waterproof boots rather than tall boots for quick dog walks.

They are very comfortable -- I've already walked our dogs in the woods twice while wearing them. They are a breeze to slip on -- the hand-holds make it easy for me to pull them on (even with my weak, arthritic fingers). They are sassy too -- I might not have gone out of my way to find this color or pattern (purple with light purple leaves), but they cheer me up when I put them on. I feel like a kid wanting to jump in puddles just because I can.
