If you have other similar Naot styles such as the Rongo or Arataki in the Koru collection, you should have exactly the same fit with the Rari shoe. I wear a 40 in all Naot shoes and this was no exception. Length was perfect, toe area identical to the Rongo, and heel cup the same. The Rari's leather is softer and the straps are thinner than the Rongo's. I have a longer large toe and this style is perfect. Where I struggle is with the width. I've been told that I'm between and 8 1/2 medium and 9 narrow, also been advised to favor slingback shoes. So I've had several pair of Rongos, the old Gardenia, and the Arataki. I love the wider toe area, although I would be hard pressed to call it really wide, more like narrow to medium. The heel strap on the Rari is actually better than those of the Rongo -- it just doesn't slip. My problem is in the width from the toe area to the strap. I've attached a photo showing Rari versus Rongo and you can see that the softer leather of the Rari gaps on me. I like to wear these shoes in summer with only a "toe cover." When I tried the Rari that way, I had to pull the strap so tight that the end actually touched the floor. I'm giving this shoe stellar ratings because it really does deserve them. I just wish I could fatten the arch area and heel of my foot...

I love this shoe style and fit but after wearing for several days the nubuck material started stretching and became 'loose' enough that the front of my foot would slide off the shoe on either side-----i'm 76 and while these shoes look and feel wonderful initially, I sadly feel unsafe walking in them

This shoe is just what I was looking for. I want a dressy shoe that provides good arch support and comfort when walking on cement. I’ve worn with and without socks. I wish the toe box was just a smidge longer, but the leather is very soft and is comforting to my feet. I would buy another pair of these shoes in a different color because I like them so much.

If you like the Naot Kirei shoe, you'll love these. I own a pair of the Kirei's but didn't want to wear such a close toed shoe to my vacation in the Caribbean. I bought these just before I left and wore them for the first time on the island and walked for a few miles. I did so what I do with my Kirei's- take a pair of Smart Wool peds and wrap them around the footbed. These shoes are the perfect summer travel sandal. I could even wear my silicon bunion covers. Yes, they are pricey, but I have plantar fasciitis and have no problems walking for miles in these or the Kirei's.

Naots have been my "go-to" shoes for years, but the leather and stitching seems to be far stiffer than in the past. Shoes are not nearly as soft and comfortable right out of the box. Definitely seeing inconsistencies in same styles,also, as though the materials used are different from one color to the next.

Happy surprise! I didn't look closely at the color name (mauve), just the photo which registered in my brain as beige. I like "flesh" (my flesh)-colored shoes because they make my legs look longer. I was surprised when I took them out of the box, then I fell in love. A really rich, subtle, dawn-over-a-misty-lake-right-before-the-dragonflies-start-to-appear mauve. Legs look longer, too. You can never go wrong with Naot.

These shoes were so wide they looked ridiculous. Very pretty shoe in the box, not on the feet.

Such cute shoes, and they do fit! The leather is soft, and does not at all cut in to my foot. The footbed is comfortable: I'm familiar with it from owning a couple of other styles using the Koru footbed. The look of this shoe is trim and cute-casual, while the cutouts make it a bit dressy. The back strap is just right and does not fall down. I am very pleased. I'd also ordered a fully enclosed shoe on this foot bed, which did not work for me. It's all in the design of the upper. I have C width feet and worse than that, a large bunion on each big toe. So glad that these fit! Beautiful shoes!

I am super happy with these shoes; everything about them! Amazing comfort immediately! I will be watching for more Naot styles.

For a person with normal feet, I believe the sizing is correct. Mine aren't normal-both feet have large bunions. The cut of the shoe is high enough to cover the left foot bunion and makes the left fit perfectly. Unfortunately, the right foot has a larger bunion in addition to having a higher instep and the shoe hit in exactly the wrong spot. Sadly this shoe is being returned. I obviously need a wide width, but since the arch support felt to good, and since Zappos is so easy to work with, I am going to try another style of Naot as soon as my return gets credited.

I purchased this shoe in blue and another pair in black. They were very comfortable. True to length. I am returning both pairs however since they gaped at my arches, making them look bulking. Disappointed as they are great shoes. Maybe my foot is too narrow?

I received these shoes 3 days before we left for a trip to Italy. I put them on and never took them off for 12 days of walking up and down cobblestone hills in Tuscany. I have never owned a more comfortable shoe in my life. I brought a pair of Keens to walk in but these shoes were so comfortable, I never took the Keens out of my suitcase. I highly recommend them!

Love the fit, the size and the style of these shoes! I bought both the navy and black! Love them!

These fit well and were very comfortable right out of the box; no breaking in needed. I wanted a closed toe sandal for summer travel and was looking to replace my worn-out Naot Aratakis, which are no longer available in the softer nubuck leather. These are a bit less stylish than the Arataki, but still fit the bill: protective, secure and supportive for walking city streets without the athletic look.

I had to size down in these.

Very comfy for my daily walks and for travelling. I don’t like the straps so cut them off. Feels lightweight. Love my Naots!

These were great right out of the box. Was looking for walking shoe to wear in Europe. Initially thought I could wear them with a low sock, but they are more of a closed toe sandal, so wore them barefoot. Walked all over on cobblestone and my feet were very comfortable. Very happy with the purchase, and of course, with Zappos speedy delivery. Would definitely recommend.

These shoes (in shiny polar blue) are so pretty and comfortable! I bought them for a garden/greenhouse wedding, and they looked great with my dress while also providing great support and cushioning for uneven ground (and then the concrete floor of the greenhouse). I came home and ordered another pair of Naots!

The Euro conversion didn’t seem to be accurate. The US size stated a 5, which is usually a Euro 35. This arrived and it was a Euro 36. Needed to return for a 4.

First, I ordered what were supposed to be size 5. They were actually European size 36, which is really a 6. Next, I ordered size 4, which fits my size 5.5 foot perfectly and my size 5 foot with room to spare.

I love these shoes! They are quite comfy, even without my orthotics. Really good arch support. I wore them for four hours in the house without any peds or socks. The holes in the toe box didn’t bother me a bit, as others reported. I got the blue, just to be different. Happy happy,

Naot Rari are a beautiful pair of spring/summer shoes. I wear a 9 1/2 medium width shoe and the size 40 fit perfectly. They feel like slippers yet stay firmly on my feet. I have several pair of Naots and these do not disappoint. It also helped that Zappos got them to me in one day! So glad I bought them.
