I bought these in size 11.5 wide in early April 2020. They are truly great shoes. Comfortable, durable, and good looking to boot. Transition easily from pavement to grass to forest hiking trails. I'm a fairly dedicated daily walker putting about eight miles a day on these shoes. After more than 1,000 miles on them, I'm sad to say that these shoes are wearing out. That is not in any way indicative of the quality of the shoes. Like I said, I used the hell out of them. I've bought two pairs to replace them. I'll stash the spare pair in my closet so I'll have it when I wear out my second pair.

Very good arch support. Wider toe box than heel which is good for my foot shape. I ordered 4E width, my usual width and it was too narrow for me in the toe box.

They fit good, feel good and look good. I have been wearing New Balance shoes for many years. Zappos has a good selection and good prices. They even ship to you via Amazon.

My husband has a hard time finding shoes that fit. (9EEEE with a high instep) I've never tried to orders shoes for him. He put these on right after opening them and wore them all Christmas Day. I think I've found his shoe store!

They fit perfectly, considering I have to wear an orthotic insert. I'm wearing them as I write this and almost forget that I have them on.

Second pair. Love it.

I have used these shoes in the past and they are consistently a great shoe for walking. The fit is spot on and they are comfortable and durable. I walk five miles per day and weigh 250lbs, so I am looking for a well made shoe and these shoes work for me month after month.

A good, versatile all terrain shoe!

I wanted to like this shoe but it's slightly too small and narrow (especially in the toe box). I've been vacillating between size 14 and 15 and usually just go with 15 so that I don't have to worry about the shoe being too small, which these are. I gave them 4 stars though since it seems these days there is no consistency with shoes or clothes and you just have to try stuff on until you find a good fit.

It did not fit. Too short. I was really disappointed. It is great looking shoe.

I kept and am wearing the shoes. The toe box on theses is a little narrower than the NB608’s I normally wear.

This shoe was for my fiance. His feet are unusually wide crooked so it is jard to rate this shoe fairly. 4e extra wide is his normal style.

Seems okay

The shoes look good, but there is no arch support. Also there is not much sole between you and the trail. When you're on rocky trails, you need more protection from rocks & roots. I want the comfort of a sneaker with the protection of a "sho-nuff" hiking shoe. Men's shoes typically have more support than women's, but not in this case. This particular shoe did not check the boxes.

I only wear New Balance shoes because I wear a 4 E width. I have been buying the 840v4 model which has a more rounded toe box and they fit perfect even before any break in time. Unfortunately, the toe of this model narrows quite a bit at the end and did not fit well. So, I had to return them.

Love the look and that is where it stops. For Gods sake New Balance, if you are going to sell this in 4E why not make the toe box something that might actually fit a human foot? It looks pointy and feels even worse; my toes were jammed together so tightly it caused nerve pain. I wore these thinking they might stretch in the toe box, but instead caused so much pain I could not go for walks for a long time. Also, the proportionality of the shoe is terrible, not to mention a lot of uncomfortable seams within the shoe rubbing painfully. No exaggeration; this is the worst, most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn, not just for New Balance which I have bought for 30+ years, EVER. Simply my experience, observations and opinion. Hoping for a nice wide shoe in my size. Unfortunately, they didn't have a 154E.

Once again, New Balance seems to have basically altered their size/last. This is the 3rd or 4th shoe I've returned due to being a bit too short in the last year.... or worse. My conclusion is also based on comparing this most recent shoe with one of the same size/last that I bought more than a year ago. New Balance is going to lose customers if they continue this downgrade in quality and sizing. And so will Zappos!
