I loved this shoe but decided to return it because it is so stiff and heavy. The higher back over the heel digs in and I'm sure will cause blisters. It hurt to walk in them. The shoe is very stiff and clunky. Although it is canvas which would normally stretch, this felt too heavy to stretch. Loved the look of the zipper but it is not functional at all. Once it is unzipped and you put the shoe on, it absolutely will not zip back up. I really didn't mind that. I have no problem with tying my shoes each time I put them on but this is info for other buyers who may purchase thinking the zipper will help them put the shoes on. I really love the look and it is exactly what I'm looking for but I feel overall this shoe is too stiff and uncomfortable, especially for the price.

I so wanted to like this shoe. The appearance, style and quality were all perfect, but it was not comfortable. It was stiff, it had a funny squeaking sound when I walked, and my socks would sink down into the shoe when I walked, which of course is unacceptable. Such a bummer, I loved the look.

They are first of all so cute and I own Taos boots(3 pair) because they are so cute and comfortable! I wanted to love these. They are just not comfortable. There is great arch support but that is it. The heels rub and there is no cushion in the foot bed. You feel every step and not in a good way. So cute but I’m too old to live with form and not function.

The are cute shoes but VERY HEAVY.... and wide is too wide...narrow too narrow

Too wide & very heavy . ..

I really wanted these but they are very narrow... The wides are too wide..but they are HEAVY.. and with bad knees.... I simply cannot wear them....It is a cute sneaker though!!!!!

I ordered my usual size. However, I should have listened to others who said these ran a bit narrow. I couldn't zip the shoe closed and if I tried to put my foot in without undoing the zipper first, they were so tight even after loosening up the laces. I've never had to order any wide shoes, but I will plan to re-order these shoes in an available color a half size larger as well as wide because they really are cute shoes.

They're very cute sneakers. And I really like the zipper on the side. But it's purely for Aesthetics. The zipper doesn't stay up and it'll catch your skin if you don't wear socks. And it'll rip your skin when it catches it. The overall feel of these is stiff and hard to my feet but to be fair I've been wearing Uggs for 10 years and Brooke sneakers. I would really just say these are for younger feet. There is arch support but again it goes with a very hard inside like there's no cushion on the footbed at all and they squeak when you walk and I only wore them in the house.

These are cute, but....The zipper gets stuck. Unless you want to keep the zipper on all the time and tie them, I would not recommend. Also stiff and they squeak!

This is my first pair of Taos. They fit great with good arch support. Overall very comfy. The left shoe makes a very loud noise when I walk. Unfortunately I didn't discover this until I got to work and was walking around in the very quiet office. I can't figure out what is causing the nose. Hopefully it will go away with wear. Now I know I can't wear them to work.

I'm returning these because I thought they were a no-tie sneaker--per the photo. I don't like how the laces look when tied...too long; looks sloppy. They were a bit tight when zipped up.

I have a very normal 7.5 shoe size and I couldn't even get these shoes on. I would have had to go up a full size or more, I think. I couldn't really get them on to judge comfort.

I liked these out of the box, but I could get them on. I’m an 8-1/2 W. I also couldn’t fully close the zipper (not wearing). Returned.

The zipper on this shoe does not move as easy as necessary to make it usable. Tying the shoes with every wear would be much easier than using the zipper, making the zipper more about looks than function. I ordered 8W, my normal size. It felt a little too narrow for my foot, but I would have kept them had they not been so heavy and if the zipper had been functional. I haven’t had good luck with Taos wide shoes being wide enough and will stop trying this brand. If width isn’t your problem, I highly recommend Taos for the arch support.

I loved this shoe except the heel was just not right. Rubbed around when I walked around my house, likely to blister. Going to have to return it unfortunately even thought it was comfortable in other regards. Fit was true to size/size up at half sizes.

I have a pair of the Star Burst canvas shoes from Taos and absolutely love them. Zappos recommended that I go up a half size, which felt weird. These shows are a wide, but are long because the toe becomes so narrow. The fit is just strange and so these will go back.

HEEL SLIPS I love the look and they have good arch support but my heel slips out of the shoe as I walk. I exchanged for a smaller size but that did not fix the problem so I will have to return these too.

This shoe slips at the heel. It’s too bad because the style is so cute and the insole felt great.

The 7 1/2 was too small and the 8 too big so I had to return, They are great looking shoes .. could have better arch support.

First of all, I received 3 sizes too large so I can't complete a total review...but, I will comment on the insole and outer shoe. The insole did not impress me, as the heel cup and arch parts are rather overdone. The heel & arch density was too extreme in relation to the forefoot - in fact, the forefoot was totally overlooked! Right after the arch shape, the insole radically dips down to the front and is very thin. I, for one, need much more under the ball & toes. Who doesn't? So I took out the insole to see what the shoe was like underneath it/inside. Good grief, it was hard material. So I was convinced the ball & toes wouldn't get any more cushion help by the shoe construction itself. The outside/upper of the shoe is very nice, cute style & quality. But I think Taos is trying a bit of novelty with their insoles, which are too weirdly designed for natural foot comfort.

Loved the style. Not wide enough for a wide shoe. Great support.

While I cannot say they were too small for my feet, they did not give toes room to wiggle. i thought zipping them on and off would be easier, but it was not. Zipping was difficult

Not comfortable on my bunion foot.

I love the style, fit and comfort of this shoe! I have a wide foot, but wide width shoes usually are too wide in my heel. These were great with a thin sock. The thing that really bothered me is that you can't wash them! These are white shoes and when I washed them, the silver leather piece that goes over the heel, bled blue stain all over the shoe! So now they are unusable. Shame really.

These were the cutest style but have to return because the arch is like walking on a rock. I think it's a touch small for me but they weren't cushy enough for me to try a half size up, and that may have helped the arch placement feel better.
