I bought these on sale for a little over $100. I don't think I would be willing to pay $178 for them, but for $100, they are perfect. I have feet a little bit on the wide side and these boots fit perfectly. They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I have relatively flat arches and have had no problems. I have skinny ankles (and fat calves), and I don't have any pain during the day walking around. The only real downside would be the style. The leather and the craftsmanship is acceptable at the $100 price point. If you are looking for a basic, functional, comfortable shoe for a reasonable price; you will be happy. However for near $200 retail, the styling and quality is missing something. I would purchase again...for $106 dollars.

I bought these from Madewell because they have a really nice, polished look. I am a 10-10.5 and I ordered the 10. It was snug, no wiggle room at all. I kept them because I was hoping that because they are full leather they would stretch some, but they didn't. The leather is really nice but it is stiff. This is a pro and a con because they haven't broken down and gotten all wrinkly from wear like some softer leathers do but they also don't stretch at all.

I am so glad I purchased these boots. The style is classic and they look beautiful with a pair of jeans or dress pants for work. At first I thought they were stiff but they were broken in after the first wear. The heel gives me a nice bit of height but they feel stable and secure to walk in. I got them on sale so it was a great deal, but I’d buy them again for a higher price if i had to!

These boots are fantastic! I've had them about 2 months--the fit is great, they're super comfortable (especially for a heel), and they make any outfit look sharp--even a simple black tshirt and jeans.

So darn cute, but need to find them on sale. They run TTS.

These boots are poor quality. I only wore them to work 5-6 times before I noticed that they had cracked all the way across the sole of the boot at the ball of my foot on both feet. I work in a carpeted office where I am seated most of the day and these still cracked easily. The sole appears to be made from a cheap plastic material. Not worth the price by any means.

These are very comfortable shoes. They are very nice looking too.

These boots look and feel great! What an upgrade. I haven't worn them all day yet but they seem to be pretty comfy. The leather is high quality and the heel height seems just right (I normally wear flats). I'm a 6.5 to 7 in most shoes depending the brand, style, etc. I bought these in a 6.5 even though some review said they ran small - I actually found them to run a bit big! I then also ordered a size 6, but they were too narrow and pinched my feet. I'd recommend if you're between sizes ordering both, since I think the fit actually depends more on the shape and width of your feet :) I am keeping the 6.5 - I tried them on with my winter socks and they're perfect.

These booties are so, so cute. Sadly, I'll have to return them as they don't fit me well and are unbearably uncomfortable that I don't think going half a size up would help me. I'm on the cusp of normal/wide width feet, most of my shoes fit me in my true size 5 in normal widths. These shoes pinched my pinky toes and caused me discomfort within minutes of me walking in them. If these came in wide widths I would 100% purchase them.

I loved the look of these boots. They were well made and the insides consisted of soft leather that would not rub your leg raw. However, the fit was off. They were a little shorter than I expected them to be and quite a bit narrower. The elastic on the sides didn't stretch much making them extremely difficult to get on and off (there is no zipper). For that reason, I don't think I will order the next size up.
