Ordered because my "go to" boot was out of stock. Very difficult to put on and take off (if the loop breaks off the back from my excessive tugging there will be no hope), not what I was expecting. I did like that they are fairly waterproof and will keep them to use when I have to give baths and/or trudge through the mud but will have to return to traditional paddock boots.

I have been a loyal fan of Ariat for years - I even owned a tack store and only carried Ariat products. So when I purchased these boots, I thought they'd be perfect for the barn. I read all glowing reviews and was genuinely excited to get them.
Unfortunately, when they arrived, I was extremely disappointed! They were incredibly difficult to put on - I had to tug and pull just to get my foot all the way in. Once on, ther were the most uncomfortable boots I have ever worn! My toes were squished, the top pinched my foot with every step, and even my heel hurt. I was so disappointed that I have to take them off right away - and it was actually a struggle to remove them! Sadly, going to see if i can return them! ASAP

The worst boots I've ever freaking bought. Genuinely impossible to break in, got my regular boots size that I have never had a problem with, and the heel and ankle is so incredibly tight even after weeks of wear. And god forbid you ever try to wear half chaps with them, the unnecessarily huge plastic spur rest on the back will grind and click on the zipper with every single step. Such a massive waste of money.

These shoes were too small and so stiff. Did not fit at all.

Couldn't even get my foot in, I decided to return and get a different style boot for riding.

I bought the Ascent WATERPROOF paddock boots @1month ago. I absolutely loved them and wore them everyday at least in the am when the grass is wet. I own a dog boarding business and a dog rescue so I am basically outside all the time.
Zero break in time. Fabulous boot EXCEPT.... no longer WATERPROOF! I am so disappointed. They were perfect and I bought them only bc they were advertised as Waterproof. They are leaking around the bottom where the sole is in front and side of boot on both feet..
Added pics of my wet socks...

I bought these boots under a year ago. They fit great and are comfortable however I wish I had read the review as my boots have also come apart from the sole along the side.
As they are now letting in water really not worth the money. I will be buying a different make of boots from now on

I ordered these boots originally 2 years ago. They were advertised as waterproof so I used them for riding my horse and bathing him after our rides. Well, in about 9 months the boots had completely fallen apart. The sole detached and they were unusable. I left a review and contacted Ariat. They sent me a new pair which I really appreciated. Unfortunately not even a year later, the same exact issue happened AGAIN. Not to mention this time I used them only for riding purposes, no hosing or walking out to the paddock, and still the same issue. It is inexplicable to me and totally disappointing. The quality is disproportionate to the outrageous price. While I did think they were comfortable and liked riding in them, I can not afford to keep replacing expensive paddock boots multiple times throughout the year. I will not be purchasing these boots again.

I bought these over a year ago but have been wearing them for just over 8 months. I really wanted to like them. For the first few days I had to wear a bandaid to protect my heal from getting a blister. They 'broke in' quickly and I was quite pleased at how comfortable they were - once they were on! They are VERY difficult to get on! If they had a zipper or more elastic that would have taken care of it. As it was, every day I struggled and it didn't get any easier. The final straw for me was the fact that they are coming apart!! The sole is coming off the shoe. It started in the rear, which made sense to me considering how hard I had to pull to get them on. But, it has now started happening everywhere on the shoe, even where there is no pressure from putting them on. The slightest amount of water seeps right in and I can't wear them anymore because it seems that any time soon they are going to come completely apart. i am disappointed because I do like the style, comfort and material of these shoes and had hoped I had found a good dependable paddock boot.
