We tried a couple different pairs of hiking boots for my seven-year-old daughter… These were by far the best! They will not give her blisters. They are very sturdy. And they super cute look and fit.

I bought these online for my 10 yr old. He's stuck in the 'unable to find that in between size in a boot that would fit' stage. Owning a closet full of Speedcrosses myself, I knew it was a good gamble on grabbing a pair of 7's online, to see if they'd fit.
One week after getting them, we completed almost 25 miles of hiking in 3 days. Needless to say, I believe there will be 2 closets full of Salomon's :')

My son (10) has borderline wide feet. These are great. We bought a size 4 just like his Vans sneakers.
We relaced the laces as is recommended for wide feet. This allows you to keep toe box loose while snug at the top of foot and ankle.
We went for a 2 hr moderate hike the first day out and he had no issues or sore spots.
These are lightweight and comfortable. He LOVES them.

Great looking and comfortable hikers! My daughter loves the colour combination. It's too cold to test waterproof membrane, but it's warm enough for -29 C! Only suggestion is to improve the hooks at the top of boot to grab the laces, they slip out at times.
