This is my 6th or 7th pair of Salomons for a reason (others have been Ellipse, XA pros, Elevates, X-Missions). I buy them because they fit my needs for a shoe that I can hike in, do field work in, dog walk in, and just stroll in. I usually get GTX so I can use them in rain, snow and mud, but yes they can be slightly warmer in hot weather. I will keep buying, because they just get better and better. I will say the sizing seems slightly bigger for these Sense Ride 3's than my other pairs which is fine with my thicker socks. Might size down a 1/2 size with future pairs.

This is a replacement pair from the last Sense that I literally wore out. They fit well, are lightweight, have perfect tread for trails and are durable. I love these and upgraded to the waterproof style

Je l'es adore, idal pour toute mes sorties en sentier et ce dans tout type de terrain. Je l'es recommande

On my first outing in these shoes, I went for a hike and got caught in a rainstorm. I was wet but my feet were dry. Super comfortable shoes with no breaking in period. Great for varied terrain.

Sense Ride au Top! On les chausse et on se sent comme dans des chaussons, ultra confortables et pourtant, aggressives sur terrains accidents et glissants. Gore-Tex et impermabilit tellement parfaites que lors de ma dernire course sous la pluie d'1h30, mes pieds sont revenus compltement secs! Un peu plus lourde que les Sense classique mais on ne le sens pas lors de la course. Un vrai moment de plaisir pour une course sous la pluie, vivement la pluie prochaine!

I previously wrote a review for these shoes saying that they were not waterproof, I contacted Salomon and they have supplied me with a replacement pair which are much better but I still get slightly wet toes in the left shoe, such a shame as these shoes are so comfortable.

I always run in my sense pro's - the only issue, no goretex, and on days that my legs are very tired the lack of cushion sometimes wears me down. I thought these would be a great add in to my shoe collection, and so far, so good! They are definitely way heavier than the Sense pro's, but once I got them on my feet I really honestly didn't notice. These also cradle your feet a bit differently, almost like the outer layer is a bit stiffer (which would make sense with the goretex), which I don't mind at all but will definitely be monitoring for those longer runs to see if I develop any new hotspots. Took them for a nice little spin today around my local park, but in 4 inches of fresh snow and more falling by the second. My feet literally stayed COMPLETELY dry and nice and toasty - no wet cold spots like in my sense pro's (which I still love - they just fail me on those sloshy runs). My only complaint is that the tongue of the shoe tends to rotate out as you move in them. It hasn't caused any problems yet, but even when wearing them a full couple of days walking around (so I could break them in), I was pulling the tongue back straight in the shoe every other hour or so. I'm curious if this will lessen as the shoes losen up over time from wear, or if it will be a problem that persists forever. At any rate I love these shoes for training but likely wouldn't use them on race day due to the issue with the tongue.

These were a replacement due to the fact that the first pair I received didn't keep my feet dry, I was really happy at first as they seemed to keep all but a tiny bit in the left shoe dry, but as I have worn them more I have found both my feet get a little bit wet when running through wet grass so not looking forward to running in them during the winter.

Initially I was so pleased with these but this morning it was raining and I got very wet feet really disappointed

I have had numerous knee surgeries and find Salomon the absolutely most comfortable sneakers and hiking boots and will continue to purchase. However, these are the least comfortable pair I have bought. Unfortunately, it took a couple weeks of wearing them around to realize this, and they cant be returned now.
