Ever since seeing the Salomon ME:SH shoe in Chamonix in 2017 I have been waiting for the technology from that shoe to reach the masses. This is the shoe. The Cross Pro is a perfect blend of the grip and traction of the Speedcross with an upper that is a work of art. The first time I put the shoe on I knew it was going to be my go to trail runner. This is the shoe! It slips on like a sock and forms to your foot. I was concerned because the description says it is a narrow fit, but the upper shaped perfectly around my wide foot. The heel cup is the perfect firmness, while the tongue area is a little more pliable and grabs your foot. The quick lace system is great with the Matryx outer tightening around your foot giving you support where you need it. The shoe is incredibly comfortable, gives your foot great protection over a variety of terrain, and the design of the shoe is as close to perfect as I have seen on any shoe. The cut around the ankle is perfect. A huge bonus with the design is that no debris gets into the shoe which is awesome for us trail runners. The 8mm drop gives you a nice blend of stability and comfort. There is a nice energy return with this shoe that almost feels like it gives you a bit of a kick when you stride. Some of Salomon's shoes have had different sizing from model to model, but I am a size 11, and this fit perfectly in that size. I have had these shoes for about a month, put about 300kms on them so far, and absolutely love getting them out on the trails. Overall, a huge step forward for trail running. Already bought a second pair.

I got these as a birthday gift in July. I used them for the 1st time in 21 Nov for my 1st ever trail run named #SaniStagger. I crossed many rivers and it was safe and secure, I know with the cross 5 it was not the same when I hiked table mountain. Best shoe thus far.

I've been looking for an alternative to the S Lab Ultra, as that has been my favorite shoe, but wasn't available. I decided to give this shoe a try and instantly fell in love. Its as minimal as it gets, which I love, and extremely snug around my foot. It has that, next to skin feel that provides confidence and stability in all conditions. This may be my new, go-to favorite from the entire Salomon collection.

True to size, overall comfortable and Good Solomon shoe. Doesn't offer much on the support side but offers great Grip tread for climbing.

I love these shoes. At first they're really tight to put on but after a couple wears they loosen just enough to feel like glove that is cool on the feet. I wear them to run camera at golf tournaments and they are perfect on dry days. The different topography of a golf course; flats, side hills and bunkers are no match for the gripping power of the soles. Hot days of summer can make your feet hot and sweaty but this shoe stays cool on your toes. I bought a half size smaller because the Solomon line has been running a bit big in the fitted shoe, unlike a boot which you might wear a thicker sock in. This shoe does not bunch my toes in the 1/2 size smaller, just makes for a tight glove feel which I personally like when running in fairway between golfers. If you are like a looser fit shoe for quicker on off then normal size should be fine. Love them.

The gift recipient of these shoes loved the look and style, and so did I. This shoe has so many features that perfectly matched his wishes and needs -- the way they lace, the soft quick-drying upper, their weight (very lightweight), the color (black and dark gray), the cushy sole (for sore feet). I ordered him a 10.5 and an 11, since he reliably wears one of those two sizes, but never knows which one until he tries them on. The 10.5 was too small. The 11 fit well lengthwise and was narrower than expected but still would have worked for his narrow feet. Nevertheless, I had to return both the 10.5 (didn't fit) and the 11 (did fit) because, on the inside, bottom of the shoe, the footbed insert has a hard, rolled edge along it that rises up around the heel to meet the upper, and that hard, rolled edge rubs against his thin, bony heels. We both really wanted them to work, but that kind of rubbing simply won't work. We are disappointed and surprised, since, to our knowledge, nobody else here has reported that same issue. Sad to see them go. They are otherwise so perfect!

A fantastic shoe for fell running. Brilliant for when you need grip, but also a bit of cushioning. Wore these for my Frog Graham Round last year and had comfy feet all day. Very snug when you first put them on, but the mesh quickly adapts to your feet. Lugs last very well. A little out of their depth in very wintery conditions, but still handle practically every thing very well.

Say 'hola' to your go-to hill shoe. Perfect for technical and longer trails and hilly runs, both on and off-piste. If wet feet an issue these quickly drain, are light, and have a good sized fore-foot platform for foot placement. The lugs and sole are very aggressive, but the right amount. Lacing system if you have skinny ankles like me you need to tighten them right up with a few adjustments required if doing say a long 2+ hour hill rep session with lots of downhill. Wore these shoes this morning on the crisp local trails on forestry logging roads and tracks and such a smooth and light ride for 90mins. If you run a lot or have done in the past in slab SG's or Speedcross Pro's, then these make for a solid substitute. The dirtier you get these shoes and the harder you push them to their limits, the better they have become! Top work Salomon

It's a fantastic shoe and exactly as I imagined. The inner sleeve makes it a very snug fit. Excellent grip on the sole.

This shoe is possibly the best salomon shoe for fell running. Plenty of support and the grip is fantastic. A nice snug fit to begin with, but the mesh quickly adapts to your foot. Though, it lacks the foothold for downhill that the S/Lab Speed 2 has. It is very comfy could be worn all day.

Length was accurate, but the width was narrow for my wide feet. The style/design is amazing though.

Nice improvement from the Speedcross. The grip is great on soft terrains and wet surfaces, can't wait to try them on mud. The fit is quite tight in the arch, it will adapt to your feet after a while... but still, I had to go for half size up and after a 35 km run, I couldn't wait to free the laces. The upper material Matryx is a great contribution, downside... I miss brighter colours! The heel support felt a bit rigid. Very similar to the Wild Cross, but this one has a tighter fit perfect for shorter runs/races.

Tried these shoes on within minutes of delivery...well, I tried to try them on but couldn't begin to fit into a size that is normally a bit loose. Shoe was so narrow that I couldn't get my toes to the front of the shoe. a shoe looking good isn't relevant if you cannot wear it.
