These get used for walking trails twice a day, for a couple of hours a time and I have been using these for 6 months now in most conditions. I am extremely pleased with them. Despite the initial ink blue hue, they have mellowed with age and you'd be pushed to put any colour to them. They have a tongue that is attached to the sides and this makes them totally waterproof. Despite the solid soles the shoes are lightweight and extremely comfortable.

I have had this shoe about 8 months now and used for everything from cycling to work in the rain, Munroe walking in the Highlands, and trail running when on holiday without proper trail running shoes. I'm keep choosing these for days out because their versatility, lightness, and comfort. Durability: so far so good, no problems or significant wear down. Fit: true to size, medium width. Waterproofing: no complaints. I mark them definitely worth the buy. Also, I love their symmetry. The shoe is well proportioned with dimensions around the shoe pairing up in a pleasing way (to me that is, I love symmetry in angles, lines, shapes, etc and so odd proportions on shoes drive me crazy :D). The colours aren't great for my tastes. The silver feels a bit odd and shiny, especially when clean. Maybe a better option set would be a black option, then maybe a rich colour like burgundy paired with some second colour, and finally a bright colour. Since I often cycle to work (when there isn't a pandemic!) in the rain, I end up in these around town all the time, so new colour options please :D Finally, with long treks on uneven terrain in the mountains with a pack, my feet do get sore by end of the day. So if your hiking multi-day under weight then you may want a more robust option. Otherwise, these are great!

Excellent straight out of the box. Fit slightly larger & truer to size than my previous X.-Ultras. More comfortable & lighter too. Really pleased with this new style.

These shoes are the most comfortable hiking shoe I have ever had. Gives good support and fit perfectly. And they look great too. I'd recommend them to anyone that likes to get out there and get some exercise.

Von all meinen Salomon Schuhen der erste GTX, der die Fe wirklich trocken hlt. Top Grip, und uerst bequem, da locker geschnitten. Fr lngere abschssige Querungen muss er wegen seiner "Weichheit" allerdings ordentlich fest gezurrt werden, damit der Fu zentral am Schuh bleibt. Ein absolut zuverlssiger Begleiter, der sich schon in unterschiedlichstem Terrain bewhrt hat.

Fantastiques chaussures au chaussant ultra prcis, trs lgres, confortables et prcises. Le maintien est parfait, et l'accroche dmentielle. Elle viennent remplacer ma paire de x ultra, et je ne suis vraiment pas du ! Au passage merci au SAV pour la qualit de la prise en charge et la ractivit. Salomon toujours au top.. Je recommande vivement le modle, et bien sur la marque..

J'ai achet ces chaussures il y a 15 jours maintenant. Travaillant la montagne et en plaine je cherchais une chaussure la fois tanche, rigide, lgre et confortable. Le grip est bon mme sur des surfaces glissantes. J'en suis entire satisfait.

Ich trage fast ausschlielich Salomon. Der Grund fr diesen Kauf war sein ungewhnliches Design

I bought these before Covid, but have only been enjoying them the last few months on hikes and bike rides. They are purple outside, but grey inside. The colour does change. My membrane isn't working, but Salomon has worked out a replacement. Not sure if I want to replace with purple shoes.. The shoes themselves felt great on some moderate hiking paths and rock climbing. Would buy again (even though they are pricey).

My old shoes did well but finally split so it was time to replace them; these caught my eye with the decent Contagrip sole and the innovative Matrix upper making them stand out a little. Add the Quicklace system and they strike a nice balance of form and function. The fit is fairly large for Salomon; the trail runners I have (S-lab Speed 2s) are narrow but these have a large toe box. I wouldn't size down but be aware. They're light and supremely comfortable and only the slightly painful price knocks a star off.

Comfortable shoes. Looks and feels a bit narrow in the forefoot but it hugs well and my feet are narrow so it's not bad. Have yet to test waterproofing.

Sorry but purple is a far cry from white and black. Did I say they're purple
