Order 8.5 and should have gotten a 7.5/8?

I recently purchased these shoes and went a half size up, based on other reviews because of the super roomy toe box these shoes felt too big on my feet. I wish I had ordered my normal size, as these are non refundable. Otherwise they look great, and I'd bet that they feel good also.

This is my 3rd topo shoe. My first two were amazing, and then a couple years back I bought a third pair, but they were way too tight at the widest part of the foot (where the big toe bone is). I returned them and haven't bought a pair since. I decided to give topo another shot, hoping it was just that particular shoe, but same thing with this one! Part of their whole ideology is that the shoe should spread with the foot but my foot can barely move at the top. There is this plastic-like strip on the outside that has NO stretch. Not sure who thought that was a good idea. I feel like they have exchanged comfort for a more "normal" looking shoe in the past couple of years. I'm super disappointed because this is one of the two companies I buy running shoes from. However, I will say everything else about the shoe is good. I like the zero drop and low stack hight and breath-ability, but they definitely need to go back to giving the foot more room to splay at the top like they did with their older lines.

I use this shoe for walking. Wore out my ST-2's which are so awesome with a truly wide comfy toebox. This shoe was the replacement model. Expected it to be essentially the same fit. It is much narrower in the toe box, and elastic edge is tight in the back. ST-2 took no break in, these will. A little disappointed in TOPO, the ST-2 was truly the only shoe on the market with zero drop and a toe box designed for a real foot. For some reason they have chosen to make a shoe more like the other badly designed footwear on the market with not enough room to spread out your toes.

I've worn 3 pairs of the previous version of this shoe (ST-2), which was the ONLY athletic shoe I could wear with a narrow heel and a wide forefoot while still being zero drop. I'm so disappointed that this new version added in a thick seam/dart from the lacing to the side of the shoe. I have tailor's bunions (pinkie toe bunions), and this hits right on top of them. Super uncomfortable. The ST-2s had an imprinted dart, which didn't hurt at all. Please bring back the seamless top, Topo!

While I appreciate the wide toe box in these shoes, which is what I need, the midfoot arch area is very narrow. My foot in that area kind of hung over the side of the shoe. These were very close to fitting, but due to the midfoot did not. As other reviews have noted the decorative piece on the side actually pushes my big toe toward the center of the shoe. I have a bunion and that is not what I am going for.

I am not quite sure about these sneakers yet. I'll preface this by saying I am not a runner. But love topo is because of the wide toebox which has helped my feet tremendously during gym workouts. They are lightweight and very comfortable.. They seem to be OK, supportive light weight and flexible. I normally wear a seven or 7 1/2. I bought the size 7 as that is what my other Topo sneakers have all been, and always fit well. But there's so much extra room in front of my toes with this design, which makes me feel like I am going to trip over them.. I do not want to go down a size because they will be too snug everywhere else. I don't have particularly long toes. So I guess if you do these might be a perfect fit.

I was trying to replace an older, wonderful Topo shoe, and this model proved to be too flexible and not supportive enough.
It is probably a fine shoe, just not for my feet.

Took me awhile to figure out these were the reason for my foot pain by end of day.
No heel padding like on Ultrafly 2
Bring back the 2 's so I can stock up

I've had these for two months and the bottom tread is already wearing down and there are worn spots developing in the heels. They look like I've had them for a year. I wear them to walk 10-13 miles per week on a cement walking path. They are super comfy and my bunions don't hurt as much, but I would expect a shoe at this price point to last longer than 2 months!

I am a weekend walker of neighborhood trails. I loved the fit and look of these shoes, but I've only had them for nine weeks and there are holes in the topline, as if I had freakishly protruding ankle bones rubbing against it. I'm really disappointed.

A friend recommended Topo for their wide toe box. While my neuroma did not flare up thanks to the toe box, I wound up returning these. I experienced cramping in my midfoot still trouble with plantar fasciitis. Also, after two days wearing them, the upper began separating from the sole on the inside of the right foot. Not what I'd hope for in brand new shoes.
Luckily, the 30-day trial and customer service made returns easy. Would recommend these for someone else with fewer foot problems!

I so wanted to love this shoe! The super flexible upper feels so nice, but the seam is in a HORRIBLE place and caused bruising on the side of my foot. I'm returning this one and ordering a larger size to see if that works. Topo is so close to having a perfect shoe! (For comparison, I'm an Altra devotee, I only wear 0 drop, but Altra shoes are getting too narrow...if Topo can get this design tweaked just a little, I'll switch devotions!)

I loved my Topos ST-2. I reordered Topos and found out the ST-2's were discontinued. The ST-3 are too narrow and short. I have problem feet with a bunion on my right foot. I need the wider toe box. I loved the ST-2's. Please go back to the orignial sizing. I do not want to try the Fli-Lyte-3's because I am concerned that I will experience a shoe that is too narrow and too short. Please reconsider how wonderful your ST-2 was and go back to it. If you don't have a wide foot, this may be the perfect shoe for you.

LOVE the ST2s, wore them at my hospital job, on my feet for 8 hours and looked forward to my new 3s. BUT...they are slightly narrower across the last lace and that one overlay hits the outside of my foot in a really bad place...even with relacing and skipping the last hole, they hurt after only an hour. Had to return :(

I'm not sure what is wrong with these shoes but I have never gotten blisters from shoes. I got the size I normally do and it was horrible.

The plastic look and feel of this shoe make it seem cheap and not durable enough for hiking. I returned them.

I initially loved the shoe. Felt great on my knees and feet. Ran 5 times (2.6 miles each) on the treadmill and the bottom of the shoe started to fall apart! My husband had to glue the bottom of the sole back on the shoe. Totally disappointed!

They are true to size but the other style I ordered ran small so i ordered both in the same size. Sale shoes are not returnable so i am stuck with shoes that are too big to wear.

I had really high hopes for these shoes. I've been wearing the Runventure 2's for years for trails and ultras and had the previous version ST-2's. Out of the box they felt great and the upper felt more comfortable than the St-2s. Was excited to take them out for a run. First mile in the fit felt a little sloppy to me, maybe the knit upper was just too stretchy for my preferences as I felt like my foot was sliding around too much (although they didn't really seem too big and I also have WIDE feet, one of the reasons I like TOPO's). I was able to ignore that to an extent but after a few miles I got a searing pain on the top of my right foot because the seam in the shoe was digging into the base of my big toe. I only ran 6 miles and when I took off my shoe my foot was bleeding all the way through my sock. I had to bandage my foot for a week or so. Unfortunately I bought the sale color (pink and black) so I cannot return them. Disappointed.

I am extremely disappointed in the ST-3 and am returning my shoes. The ST-2 was my favorite shoe of all time! Mine are worn out and there were none left in my size for the last 5 months, so I was eagerly waiting for this new version to come out. The redesign is all wrong with seams placed directly over the bony protuberance on the top of our feet. It was immediately very painful to wear. I tried to "get used" to it by walking around the house, stretching the shoe. It was so intensely painful I couldn't keep it on after a few minutes.
