When I first bought them, it felt like there was a pebble in the arch, the shoestore owner literally took a dremmel to the foam to carve out the excess, that helped some, but there was still some rigidity. I live in VT where we have a lot of dirt roads. I have never had a pair of shoes kick up so much gravel and sand into my shoe while wearing them. I pushed through because they were so expensive, so wanted to wear them out, bought another pair of shoes, just wore them again, and just solidified how much I dislike them!

Uncomfortable and pained my feet. Way too clunky. Worst part is they wouldn't take it back. Do not buy!!

I bought the M-Phantom hoping for a highly cushioned shoe with a really wide toe box. Although they have a wider toe box than your average shoe, these were not cushioned well. I felt like I was running on concrete on the few runs that I wore them. Even worse, I had the type of aching you get from running on bottomed out running shoes for a week after my last run in them. What a bummer.
