I had to get these elsewhere b/c Zappos as wonderful as they are didn't have my size, but these boots are fantastic. You can adjust them by the laces once, and then just use the zipper to get in and out. They are stylish and light weight in my opinion, contrary to another review which found them heavy. I like them so much I wanted to write a Zappos review anyway so people would know how good they are.

zipper on and off is a MUST for me and it has it that's the main reason I bought it. leather quality is great. ankle cushion is great. leather insole is great. but no wide version available. too narrow for my wide feet. also looks more like a pair of kids' shoe. Not stylish enough for a combat boots. for a $300 pair I expect more.

I love Samuel Hubbard shoes. They are stylish, super comfortable and light, and they last forever. These are no exception.

No doubt about it, these are quality made shoes. The leather is soft and the footbed is super cushiony. I love the added convenience of the side zipper. Ultimately, though, these were a bit too heavy for me to wear all day. I didn't notice the weight until late afternoon but once I grew aware of it, the rest of the day felt like forever. However, I have sustained past ankle injuries on both legs, so it might just be me. I think they are absolutely worth the price and would encourage healthy ankles to give them a try! I just felt it was good to know for those of us whom have issues with weighty shoes. I ended up with Brooklyn by Gentle Souls; lighter weight but a true lace-up. Oh well, no zipper for me!

Love this shoe. Very stylish and outstanding comfort.

These are really nice, very well made and very comfortable. The fit is generous, with a good-sized toe box. I replaced the innersoles with my custom orthotics and there is still plenty of room for medium weight socks. (FYI, the innersoles that come with them appear to have excellent arch support.) The only odd thing is the tan lining, which I would have preferred to be black. But it's a minor complaint. The collar and tongue are nicely padded which adds to the comfort.

It's not them, it's me. Ordered a half size up to accommodate bunions, but at some point no shoe is going to fit. These felt great standing, and pinched a bit walking. They are very high quality, but very very masculine. They'd have to be perfect for this price and for me it doesn't quite work.
