I love these hiking shoes for so many reasons. First, Danner is great quality. My first pair of Danner boots, purchased in 1990 (!!!), are still in great condition. However, I wanted a lighter shoe and the older style is too clunky for me these days. These shoes are comfy like a sneaker and super maneuverable for black diamond trails. Second, they are grippy as hell. I’m backpacking Yosemite’s Half Dome in a few weeks - a notoriously steep and slippery climb - and after hiking in these a bit I feel confident they’ll keep me safe in those conditions. Third, they’re feminine and cute without being over the top loud. Love the subtly of the colors. I really put these to the test recently on a very vertical and technical hike (1311’ ascent in 1.7 miles, up rough terrain) and they performed great! I had on shorty socks and was a little concerned the heels might rub, so I stuck to a shorter, 3.3 mile hike. Surprisingly I had no problem at all from the very first wear! It’s possible they run slightly narrow. I had surgery on my right foot a few years ago and I have several screws holding the inside ball together, so it’s a bit more sensitive than my left foot. In the rocky terrain, I definitely felt it every time I stepped wonky and landed on the ball of that foot. It didn’t feel as cushioned under that ball. I’m sure I wouldn’t have that issue with a more bulky boot, so this is the sacrifice I make for the more nimble shoe. Obviously you may not have those same issues, but that’s how the narrowness of the shoe impacts me personally. Another note about size: it initially felt like these may run 1/2 size large. I was worried if I stuck with my normal size my feet would slip forward on the steep downgrade and my toes would jam forward. After much debate, I stuck with my normal size and I’m glad I did. No toe jam here! ;) Overall, I’m super happy! I’ve finally found the perfect hiking shoe for every trail.

Okay, haven’t evaluated them on the trail, yet. But, took them out of the box an hour ago and the fit and comfort are so incredible, they are still on my feet. I have ridiculously, annoyingly sensitive feet, on the narrow side. Too much arch support, (Merrell), and my feet ache. Too narrow in the toe box, (Columbia), and I get blisters. These Danners have a narrower heel and sort of inner sock lining that gives an extra hug of support and custom fit around the mid foot. The toe box is wider and allows a natural spread, so I feel very stable walking and running up and down stairs. The look is stylish and flattering, (I got the pink), and they are incredibly light weight, which I need for easy to moderate summer hiking in Arizona. I normally wear an 8.5 to 9 and the size 9 was the right one for me. I’m going to order a second pair right away.

Never heard of this brand but saw positive reviews on Zappos and thought I’d try them (love Zappos free returns!). So glad I took the chance! LOVE these shoes. I normally get 8W and normally don’t take a chance on non-wide but other folks said they were roomy and they are! Did get .5 up and fit perfectly. What I love is they have this inner sleeve which means shoes feel stable without having to tie them so tight. They are very light and not a ton of cushioning but good enough for me. Did a super rugged trail and they felt great! Highly recommend!

These shoes are the Goldilocks pair for those that are wanting a less clunky, very light and breath-able hiking shoe! I was going back and forth between this pair and the Salomon Outline, and these Danners win! The color is spot on too. I normally wear a 7.5 in running shoes (Brooks Adrenaline) and the 7.5 fits perfectly. It is a sock like fit, so it feels snug to slip in your foot. However I wouldn’t say it’s tight. There is ample space in the toe box to spread out. It’s a very comfortable fit!

NOT for people with arthritis in their feet. I struggled to get the opening wide enough for my toes to get in because of the elastic that is stitched to the top of the shoe. As I pushed my foot forward, the back kept collapsing because they are so lightweight. I liked the overall weight (and style) but not how they were so tight over the arch (which made the top of my foot throb). I don't have particularly wide feet or extra high arch so not sure why they fit so tightly over the top of my foot.

I love this shoe! Cute. Lightweight. Breathable. Excellent craftsmanship; you don't usually see shoes that well made in this day and age! Great grips on the sole give me confidence that I won't slip on steep hills.

I usually wear a 6, but I ordered a 6.5 and it feels right. I have wide toes/metatarsals and narrow heels and these shoes were comfortable and easy to wear right out of the box. I wear them on a mix of trail and paved. Highly recommend.

These were a total workhorse on a trip to Hawaii where I did a lot of moderate to hard hiking. Very comfortable, no blisters right out of the box, and a perfect fit (I’m a true 7.5). Minimal sliding on the trails, both dry and wet. Really cute on as well. Highly recommend.

I did a lot of research on running ang hiking sites to find a light hiking shoe that would be comfortable in the toe box. Many women commented on the absolute comfort of this shoe, particularly the wide toe area. It did not disappoint. This shoe is very comfortable, the wide toe is roomy enough where your toes nevee feel cramped. The sole has a solid, terrific grip so you don't slide going downhill...ever. It's incredibly light, which means your feet don't get too tired. I do wear mine with custom orthodics but it feels great even without. Highly recommend.

These shoes are hard to put on because of the tongue anchor, but once anticipated, it becomes more manageable. My orthotics don't fit easily, and I found that the shoes fit better and were more comfortable without them. I was therefore wary, but the shoes offer good support, cushioning and protection. The Vibram sole is excellent on more slippery surfaces (wet leaves, e.g.) The toe box is roomy, and the heel is snug. What stood out for me was the stability I felt in these shoes. No rolling or sliding to the side or front. Feet and ankles consistently remained in a neutral position. Very comfortable; the minor wrestle to get them on is worth it. That they are lightweight and much less clumsy in appearance is an added bonus.

Great fit! Heel stability and comfy insole is great for my narrow foot too. Perfect lightweight hiking shoe to travel with also on our African Safari trip. Love the tan color:) First time to buy this brand and will definitely get more shoes in the future. My husband has the Men's version of this same shoe and loves it too!

Love these! I sometimes wear 8.5 or 9 in regular shoes and 9.5 in running shoes. I did 9.5 for these and it was perfect. They are easy to get on and off and have a nice amount of space in the toe box.

These are lightweight and great on trails. There was zero break-in period as they are soooo comfortable. I was sure-footed hiking the canyons in AZ. I wish they were just a touch wider but that’s more my foot issue as one foot is wider than the other. The opening of the shoe, lifting the tongue, is very narrow as it has elastic attachments that don’t give much. I found it helped keep my feet more secure once I got them on. I’d purchase again when they restock.

Like them a lot except the price. They are well made, comfortable out of the box. I wear between a 6 & 6.5 and the 6.5 fit perfectly. They are light weight, nice for warmer weather so great support is a sacrifice. Hopefully I will have room for some inserts for the extra support that I need. I took a chance on this brand as I had never heard of them. Love everything about them but I feel like a bit overpriced.

Such a comfortable shoe! They fit perfectly right when I put them on (always a good sign). Good arch support, plenty of space in the toe bed. Pretty cute for a trail shoe, too!

Perfect trail shoe. These are my favorite shoes in the world and I almost don’t want to do this so I can buy another pair(I’m doing right after submitting this). Perfect fit. Incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend!

These shoes are beautiful and would be amazing if they weren’t so narrow. They have an elastic band that hugs the foot right around the arch area. If you have very narrow feet, these shoes are for you. Unfortunately I have Barney Rubble feet, so they have to go back.

My very first pair of hiking boots 30 years ago were Danner’s. I still have them but don’t wear them often as I find I never really needed the bulky ankle support of an old-fashioned hiking boot. These are perrrrrfect! They look and feel like a lightweight sneaker - super comfy - but with Danner quality, durability, and grip. And the color combo on this boot is perfection. I have *finally* found a hiking/trail shoe that I love!

These were comfortable and I liked the colors. However, I chose to return them because the toe box is very wide, which is odd because Danner shoes run narrow. How many people with narrow feet have big fat, wide toes? There was very little arch support, which I need. I was looking for a day hiking shoe, but the structure of these was more like a trail running shoe.

I have never tried Danner shoes before, but decided to test them based on a recommendation from my brother. We are planning a one-hundred mile hike this summer, and I wanted to get some shoes going well beforehand. All four pairs of Danner shoes/boots fit great and were comfortable right out of the box. This style did not make the cut, however. These felt a bit too lightweight for our planned trek.

Pros: mesh keeps my feet relatively cool in the warmer spring weather; well cushioned; excellent grip on the gravely inclines in my neighborhood Cons: heel slips up (which I’ve fixed via lacing); hot spot developed on back of one ankle after walking 3 miles; arch support is not great. I need to add insoles. Another note: I need shoes with high toe box (in the vertical direction), and out of the box these were on the edge, but I kept them, thinking the cushion would compress and give me more room. That seems to be the case—I am not experiencing toe pain.

Really wanted to love this shoe, it's light weight and the pink is cute, it is just a bit to tight across top of foot, the toe box is plenty roomy and I have a bit of a wide foot, I wear size 9 and tried this shoe in 9 and 9 1/2 and 9 fit true to size on my foot, just tight, so sadly I'm returning
