I broke my big toe 2 weeks before arriving in Antigua for a 3 week stay. I removed the foot pad of the left foot to give some space to my toe. These shoes saved my vacation! We received more rain than usual, but these shoes kept me upright as we hiked! Very comfortable, and just sturdy enough. Some hikers are too stiff! I struggle with shoes to begin with due to a prior surgery so you can imagine how relieved I felt not holding everyone back. Thank you Danner!

I bought these to use for hiking. I used them without breaking them in and they were very comfortable. They are light and the sole gives the traction that is needed.

I just ordered these in an 8.5 and I think I will return and go down a size I think the leather will stretch as I break in. Overall great style and comfort. Can't wait to hit the trail.

This is my third pair of danner trail runners. I always take out the insole and replace with my orthodics. This time, I had to order this model as mine has been discontinued (WHY????). This shoe felt really tight even in my usual 1/2 size bigger. This particular model must have a shallower interior (?) so had to return.

As other reviews have stated, these are very inferior to the regular 2650. The toe is much narrower and the padding in the toe area is much less. I bought these hoping the footbed would be the same and it is not. I will stick with what works. They have a good appearance, more like a tennis shoe, but the comfort is not there.
