Wore them on snowshoe trip to Maxwell Butte in Oregon. XL was perfect for my size 13 boot. These will last me a life time. They are extremely well made and much more than I expected. OR doesn't cut any corners.

The best for keeping debris out, protecting your pants and keeping your pants and boots dry. I own three different sizes for different types of boots/season. Medium, large and x-large. They work awesome all year round. Just remember when ordering to factor in the size of boot you are wearing especially if they run high up the calf. I made that mistake the first time buying these. My size large work great with my ALFA Jerv boots and the x-large work great for winter boots. Medium are for summer.

Two weeks out in the field and wore these everyday. Kept my feet dry in rain and bushwhacking, stream crossings and stepping in keeping high swamp holes. I stepped in a few knee high swampy mud holes i was expecting my furio pants to be wet but they were completely dry. Kept my boots dry through the entire two weeks also. They worked awesome and flawlessly. They work so well i have three pairs in different sizes for the type of shoes/seasons your in. Would highly recommend these. And they dry really quick.

I use these while doing forestry surveys in all terrain and weather conditions (except hot and dry of course) and they are unbeatable in terms of dryness, durability, and comfort

I had a pair of off-brand gaiters that have lasted almost 20 years. They were always fine for me, and stood the test of everything I threw at them, so I could never justify purchasing the Crocs although I always wanted to just buy them anyway. I finally pulled the trigger and I expect these to be the last pair of gaiters I buy!

I've been buying OR crocs for the last 15 years at least. I get about three years of hard use out of them, and I will buy them over and over again until I'm dead. You just can't beat these things if you get out there and do it in snow, brush, rocks, etc.

I bought my first pair of Crocodiles in about 1993. I climbed Mt. Adams in Washington State last weekend wearing them, and someone pointed and said, now those are old school. The only thing old school was the logo, otherwise they looked fairly new. I took them into OR today, after summiting in them 48 hours previously - a buckle was busted and they had a small crampon tear from years ago - asked if they could be repaired, and the gentleman said no, but they are under a lifetime warranty. He walked to the rack and gave me a new pair. My old pair was up Rainier twice, and all of the Cascade volcanoes multiple times, and I anticipate another quarter century in my new ones. Thank you OR for the amazing customer service! I am a customer for life.

I volunteer with Search and Rescue and it seems like every volunteer and their mom has OR Gaiters. They simply can't be beat. It's almost like you aren't really a part of the SAR family until you have a pair. I recommend them, they have saved my softshell pants from my crampons more than once.

I typically hike in the ADK's or Catskills and often times in the berkshires and these gaiters are a great addition to my gear. They are thick, tough, and stronger than an other pair of OR gaiters I've had in the past. I highly recommend these for anyone who loves to hike or snowshoe in deep snow!

These gaiters are simply the best. Waterproof and tough. I spent every day last winter in these trudging through powder for a job and they never failed. Another great OR product.

Best gaitor on the market. I've had mine for a couple years now and they have not let me down. Fit nicely over day hikers, cross country ski boots or heavier alpine purpose boots. Will be purchasing a second pair when my current pair wear out in a couple years. No regrets!

I've logged literally thousands of miles with this model, over the last two decades. I primarily wear them for walking through alpine and subalpine systems, particularly on talus fields, but also walking through scrubby vegetation, scrambling, navigating mud, rain, hail, snowfields, etc. The only thing that I've had fail is the instep strap (because I'm not always wearing them on snow), but OR has been stellar at keeping their word on the Infinity Guarantee to provide replacement straps, AND it appears that they've now improved the instep straps even further! I've used other pairs of the model also for mountaineering, with superb performance.

Honesty first: I have not tried the Expedition Crocodile Gaiters Having tried many OR gaiters as well as gaiters from Black Diamond and Hillsound, I have come to rely on my crocodiles most. Gaiters are almost disposable when used well and used often. I can beat up the Crocodiles for years without worrying about them shredding beyond their usefulness. Just be sure to buy the right size!! I have little feet (men 8.5-9) but athletic calves, I bought a medium and was very happy.

If I had to choose between Ryan Reynolds and these gaiters. I would almost choose these gaiters they are that good. They keep you dry! they look back country sheik. I have worn them for probably 50 or 60 days in the back country and they won't die, I have tried to kill them. They are very rip resistant against crampons. Which is a huge bonus.

Professional Alaskan guide I live in my gear. I own 4 pair 2 different sizes with a backup just in case. I ALWAYS carry my Crocodiles! First recommendation to my clients for gaiters. Roomy enough for stocking foot breathable wanders to roll down inside and get easy coverage or puffy pants under a shell inside the gaiter.

I've had a pair of these since 2012 and have logged many hundreds of miles hiking and snowshoeing through the toughest brush that northwest Wisconsin can offer. They keep the snow from sticking to my pants and boots. Love these babies.

I used them for 5 years and can say that they keep you warm and dry in the deep snow and cold weather. I brought them to mount Elbrus in the Caucasus and they were great. In the warmer spring months they are too hot.
