This is my second pair and I use them for both the intended purpose (rope gloves), and for backwoods camping. They fit great, are light so my hands don't over heat, but they provide me with excellent protection. Durability is definitely reasonable - 2nd pair in 2-3 years.

These are the perfect rappel gloves. Keeps your fingers free from fumbling (which I'm known for).

Use with splitter knuckle protector and it becomes unstoppable. Stay cool, while you're sweating bullets.

Bought these for use on rock pitches and learning some aid skills. Comfortable and work great with dexterity and freedom of finger movements. Great for at belays and rappers, gives a solid grip on the rope, and none of the nasty black gunk on your hands!

I recently switched from an ATC to a Grigri and bought these to protect my hands (and eczema) from rope burn. They've done a great job and I pretty much always use them when belaying. Although I'm still getting used to belaying with gloves, these are totally worth it. I've only had them for a month, so I can't speak to how durable they are long-term, but I'm hoping they will last at least a year or two.

These are the best belay gloves on the market. They are built to last and they have a very useful design feature: the tabs on the fingers also protect your fingers from the rope.

These are the best belay/rap gloves I've used. Durable and well designed, with nice details like burly loops for hanging on a biner, and pull tabs on the fingers that double as rope protection.

Purchased these gloves for use as a ZipLine guide. They provide the needed protection while maintaining required finger dexterity for manipulating carabiners, tethers and trolleys.

Unlike the metolius fingerless gloves which are way too small and tight (i ordered their size XL and they are too tight for my size M hands), these XL have plenty of room and are comfortable.

Great fit. Leather protection continues around inside of hand between thumb and first finger. "pull tabs" on middle two fingers makes taking gloves off a snap.

I like the little pulls pieces on the middle and ring finger. This helps with on and off and with protection for that joint climbing or using them with weight bars or axe handles.

These are great! I use them for MTB riding as well as climbing and anything else that I don't want full fingered gloves. The quality is excellent and I love the way they fit and they are easy to remove either the pulls.

I'm an Outdoor Ed teacher. These gloves keep my hands in good shape while rigging and belaying hundreds of meters of rope this season. Tough, breathable and a good fit. The only con is that the hook side velcro cuff is too sticky. It hangs onto harnesses, fleece, slings and any other fabric.

Super stoked for these gloves! It took a while to convert to gloves and it was a great transition. Super light weight and breathable.

I have not put these gloves to hard use, but I do have some concerns. I got them more for protection when scrambling and using tools. First off there was some stitching that came loose in the first day of use in a non critical area: I repaired it and called it a day... The fit is amazing and the finger pulls are a nice tough it would be nice to have them on all fingers and thumb. The leather seems a tad bit thin in the lower palms below the reinforcement and it is showing some wear in three outings: nothing major but a concern as it is just a few days into use. These look good on paper but I'm still on the fence on the quality: it is still better than average but I expect more from OR.

This is my first pair of belay gloves- got them to use for instructing climbing and canyoneering. So far I've tried them out just for belaying, and am pretty excited to keep using them. Using the size chart and my hand measurements, I ordered a S, and they fit fine - a little snug, but still comfortable. For sizing information, I normally wear a W M/L in gloves.

I use these to climb steel, either on via Ferrata or stage truss. My hands would get torn up without gloves but I still need to handle equipment and not drop anything. These work.

Nice lightweight belay gloves. The suedes leather on the fingers helps with rope feel while feeding and pulling a lot. Having some texture on the palm Keeps hands relaxed while holding your climber off the wall. Sizing is weird - palms are huge and fingers are tight. I went through three pairs before I found one that mostly worked. The Velcro closure is a bid awkward to get tight (which wouldn't matter so much if the palms fit snugger). I do not believe the carry loops will last very long.
