These shoes are so cute. And they did not hurt my knees I really wanted them to work. The drawback is that they are hard to open wide enough to easily put your foot in. The leather is soft and the appearance is low key. I do not know how "grabby " the bottoms are since I did not walk in them much. It felt like one could stumble if your shoe got stuck on a surface
