I bought these mostly for the look - which is a good thing - because the comfort is marginal. I suspect they'll get feeling better with more break-in time, but they aren't that fun to wear right now. I got two sizes, planning on sending one back - which was a good thing as well, since the size I sent back had obviously been worn. The packaging was marginal, and there were scuffs on the tops and bottom of the shoes - VERY disappointing that Zappos would send these out as new and charge a new price. If I want second-hand shoes, I'll shop at a second-hand store, but when I pay top dollar for Florsheims at Zappos, I darn well expect brand new shoes. Come on, Zappos - you can do better - and this kind of bad experience pushes me to check out whether or not I could find what I want on Amazon.

Based on other reviews I ordered a half size down from my normal athletic shoe size, and the fit and width were perfect for my feet. The leather is soft and breathable, no hot stinky feet here even with bulky wool socks! These boots were very comfortable right away for me. The first day I wore them I forgot to bring a backup pair of shoes with me in case they got uncomfortable, but after a full 8 hours on my feet I was feeling just fine!

These boots are amazing! I usually like a bit more 'flair' on my shoes but these were a great price. They look even better in real life but the most important thing is how incredibly comfortable they are! I stand/walk/work for 8-hour shifts at Home Depot (ie concrete floors) and my feet still feel fine after all that punishment!! I would like to add that I am also a 'minimalist-shoe snob' which means I prefer to walk barefoot or wear minimalist shoes so I HAVE NO ARCHES/I DON'T LIKE SHOES WITH A LOT OF ARCH SUPPORT! These shoes felt like they have a very natural 'flat-ish' sole so if you require a giant, bumpy arch support you may have to look elsewhere. IMHO if you don't have a giant arch, you really shouldn't try to force one with uncomfortable shoes (just an opinion). However, I love my Florsheim's and I will continue to buy and wear them. I would like to add that I also bought the Florsheim Fenway Cap Toe Boots that are ALMOST as comfortable as these, but the Chukkas are easily the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever worn!

Plenty roomy, but that's OK - better than squished feet. Don't know if I'd walk a mile for a camel in them, but they're great for work, being a comfortable niche between dressy and casual.
