These shoes fit perfectly snug to my feet. With how thick and rigid the sole of the shoe is I thought my feet would hurt after hiking for a while but they were still comfortable after a few hours. I feel like i can walk through anything with how great the traction is too.

I loved the weight and feel of the shoe. I wanted a shoe that is waterproof and comfortable. This shoe is but I found there was excess material bunched up in the toe area that kept rubbing on my toes, hopefully won't give me a blister?

I have purchased perhaps a hundred Merrell hiking shoes over the years and never left a review. I do so this time because these shoes are really disappointing, they offer no support on the trails, especially laterally. I live on the Forrest so hiking is part of my life. I love the way the look and what Merrell has been doing to upscale their colors, etc. but this really is not a hiking shoe.

I really like how these shoes fit but they make my feet really hot and smelly. I've never had an issue with my feet being especially stinky and I always buy waterproof sneakers but there is something weird about these shoes. I wear a lot of gortex shoes and my feet never feel hot or get smelly but when I take these off at the end of the day it's bad. I won't be wearing them anymore, even though they are comfy. Maybe in the winter they'll be better but I already have winter shoes. I'm really bummed about these. It's rare that I don't like a Merrill show bummed but these are definitely not for me.
