I will be honest, my son picked these because he liked the colors but I am so glad that he went with these over the classic slip on version.
This has a lot more padding in the footbed and it seems like extra padding around the heel too. They are very easy to get on and off but they don’t slip when he is running around. There is still very little arch support, but It is what I expected from Vans.
I was a little nervous that they would be too bright in person, but they are super cute and the checks are larger than the classic slip on vans which looks great.

These are great! They're pretty light compared to the OG slip ons. They seem to fit a little bigger too. My son's other Vans are 3.5, but we ordered a size 3 in these in hopes they'd still fit, and he has room to grow!

This is the second pair I ordered of this particular design. I first ordered a 2.5 because I am a Mom and wanted my daughter to have room to grow. Well, it had A LOT of room to grow. So, I returned them (still waiting for my refund) and ordered a 2 (which is her size now). The size 2 was still big. When she walked, only one shoe would slip off her heel...and she wasn't going to were thick socks with these types of slip-on Vans. I opted to hang onto the size 2 because maybe by summertime they will fit her. Plus, she likes this design and I haven't seen this design in kids sizes locally. This particular show has this new cushion sole in it, but I don't think that will contribute to the size is off. My daughter loves Vans so, I will continue to buy them.

My son usually wears a 12.5 shoe. These shoes were very narrow. We sized up to a 13, but they were still too narrow. He was able to get them on his foot, but they were too tight. I couldn't have gone up to a 13.5, because the shoe would have been too long. I wish Vans had wide width. They are very cute and seem well made.
