I have three pairs - I like that they are longer and they are fuller cut through the thighs. Also like the wide, flat waistband. I only wear shorts when it's really hot and I'm exercising outside and these are the only ones I will wear as I have big hips and thighs and most athletic shorts ride up or are too big in waist if they are roomy enough in thighs for me, so I really like these!

I have several pairs of these shorts and they are my favorites. I don't like short shorts for running and these are the perfect length.

Perfect running short! Stays in place, & thighs don’t swallow the fabric. No tugging. No readjusting. Soft fabric. Back pocket fits iPhone. 145lb 5’6’’ medium fits like a dream.

Runs small. (125lbs, ordered size small) Waist band looks like it will be wide and stretchy like yoga pants, but actually has a tight narrow string inside to adjust the waist, which is quite uncomfortable. Front comes down oddly low compared to the sides. Won't be ordering larger.

I really like how these shorts feel and fit. They also have a pocket in the back that zips. The pockets just big enough for my phone

I have bought these 5" running shorts from New Balance for at least the past 3 seasons and they have always been great. The waistband does not bunch and the legs do not ride up as much as other shorts. Though, I think they have adjusted the fabric this year and it made my favorite shorts even better!!! The fabric itself seems lighter than previous years and it is not quite as hot! This is a major benefit for a Southerner! And I went out on a limb stepping away from black this time but the blue color is gorgeous!

These are my favorite running shorts and wish I could give a 5 star review. I purchased these so I could use for my Marathon in September and used them a couple times. I love the back pockets and the ones to stash things. However after two washes one of the pockets is coming apart at the seam. I can sew so it's no big deal but it is irritating to buy something and it so this.

I loved the cobalt blue color of these running shorts, but unfortunately had to return them due to the fit. They run a little bit small and the side seam was sewn opposite of what I’m used to with running shorts. Usually the front panel (over your thigh) overlaps the back panel, then is sewn on the side seam. These shorts were sewn the opposite way (back panel overlaps the front panel at the side seam. They didn’t look as attractive on and it would have been more constricting in the thighs when running.

I wear these trail running. I love the length and high waist. No chaffing on long runs.

I'm not a runner so I use these to workout in the gym. I lift , and these are perfect for squats and lunges and on the treadmill. Don't care much for the liner though, I always cut those out of my shorts. My only complaint is they don't come in MORE COLORS!!!!! knock knock NewBalance!! More colors in the 5" please !!

Hard to find womens running shorts with functional pockets. The back zipper pocket is big enough for a phone and it doesn't bounce. The side waistband pockets hold gels and keys snugly. They are a little warm on hot days but are great on cooler days.

My absolute favorite, most comfortable pair of running shorts! Swore by lululemon until finding these. Was always a pain because my phone didn’t fit in any of my running shorts but these have a big enough pocket to hold it comfortably. Highly recommend these.

Great fir, great length!

I'm always on the hunt for the most comfortable running shorts! These checked a lot of boxes. The waistband is my favorite thing about these. Higher waisted but not too high. Built in drawstring is perfect. And the length is just right. Not to long to look weird and not to short that my rear end hangs out.

These fit very flattering, the length is perfect for coverage and the split on the thigh makes them cute. I am 5'10" around 150lbs and I prefer shorts that don't up, cover me while running and sitting, and allow for full range of motion no matter what and these shorts check all the boxes. The waist is soft and comfortable and I loved them on the run! For sure recommend.

Really like these. I ordered large bc I like the extra room. Beware these do run a little large but no deal breaker to me. These are not form fitting. I purchased the purple orange. These breathe well and do not bunch up nor rub inner thighs. I am size 8 -10 M but I ordered large in keeping it safe. I prefer a little loose than form fitting.

I could rave about these running shorts all day long! For someone who has thicker thighs, the length on these is perfect! They do not ride up at all while running. I actually got a size bigger since I am pregnant right now and still running but I will definitely purchase again for next spring in my normal size. Buy these asap!

Comfortable. I hate shorts that squeeze you around the waist. These lie flat on the abdomen. They move with you during your workout. Keep you cool too!

These shorts are comfortable with great coverage, inner brief, and zippered back pocket. I feel secure and covered when I run in these, and in solid colors, they looks more polished than some exercise-wear. Great for casual summer days, especially in the heat!

I love the way they fit. You don't even know you have them on. The length is perfect. I own three pair. I hope they keep these in their Fall collection. Well, keep this particular design and fabric forever. I like contrasting colors in waste band.

I used to run cross country in college (20 years ago) and wish these shorts existed back then. Supportive in the mid-section, longer on the inner thigh (they don't ride up), and very flattering cut. I wear these for boxing and other HIIT workouts. Fabric dries quick - also planning to wear these for outdoor activities with the kids. These are so awesome - I now 3 pairs.

This is wonderful exercise shorts, wears them to Jazzercise class. Two thumps up.
