I wanted to love these shoes and wore them for many 12 hour shifts. I added another pair of insoles for comfort. They simply rub in wrong places after long hours and they make awful calluses on my feet. I took out the plastic hardware on the top laces as these pieces rubbed sores on my feet as shown in the attached photo. Lightweight, but I need no rubbing of my toes if I'm foregoing the ankle support. I'd retie these shoes a lot to try to achieve the perfect tightness, to no avail as they seemed to always make tight spots in wrong areas, possibly needing more flexibility on top.

I was trying to buy the Keen Utility II soft toe, and it was out a stock in my size, so I ordered these. They would be great for someone who needs a really tough and heavy shoe. But the same size felt REALLY big on my foot. So, I will just wait until the Utility II soft toe comes back I hope it has not been discontinued because everytime I find a shoe I can use for walking and light hiking that fits with my Rx orthotics when I try to re order it it disappears. But, I really like Keens, I wish that they would offer more hikers in WIDE widths even though the shoes run wide. Thanks.

I've been wearing these shoes for over a year now and they are still holding up well. Very well made. I'm pretty hard on shoes and usually my shoes only last a couple months, these feel new long after a year.

In regards to the size, I read all the recommendations and went with their recommendations and ordered a half size larger- Way too big and floppy on my feet. I wont comment on comfort because i did walk in them for 4 hours and they tore up my heels and were not comfortable but was due to them being extremely wide at the ankle and to big allowing my feet to slide around way to much. I will be giving it another try however will try my true size and will report back. Good luck on your shoe find.

I love Keen and will buy them again. They fit well and I had no problems with them. I didn't need a break in period as they fit fine. I owned a pair that were not safety shoes and fell in love and I love these as well.

I'm very(!) happy with my new shoes for work. I'm an Amazonian, on my feet on concrete floors 4-5 nights/week, 10-12 hrs/shift. I ordered my regular size in this shoe & for me, it's perfect. Several reviewers mention difficulties getting these shoes onto their feet; for me, they slip on just as easy as any other regular shoe. I do like to wear thick socks in my shoes, and I add a custom made arch support to any shoes that I wear. These shoes allow room for me to do that just fine. I gave them a minimal test-drive in my home, then a short dog walk, and felt comfortable enough to brave a full shift in them the day I received them. 50+ hours of wear later, I can say I'm really happy with these shoes. They don't give me any feeling of cushy soft 'walking on clouds' sensation, but you might be able to achieve that with a different type of insert if that's your goal. They feel sturdy without feeling heavy, they flex when I need them to, they look great, and they resist scuffing (I use my feet to lock/unlock freight carts and despite that 'abuse', these shoes continue to look new.) When I get home at the end of a shift, I don't have that feeling of "I have to get out of these shoes!" These were a good choice for me. My shoes fit right out of the box for roomy toe box wearing thin cotton shoes. I know these will be my “go-to” shoes for work!

Excellent Quality. I am a picky shopper as my feet are so finicky… I heard about the Keens brand in passing but stuck to names I knew. I have ordered (and returned) 3 pairs of safety shoes to Zappos. “My Keens” are here to stay…. ?????????? Great quality and very comfortable. They run big which is a plus for me. I get foot pain from standing too long - it’s caused by my feet swelling. These shoes run WIDE and they run BIG (Half Size) and it’s perfect - for me! I might exchange them for a half size smaller but I ?? LOVE ?? these shoes!! This brand knows makes a superior shoe. Truly fantastic! They are heavier but not too heavy. The composite toe is extremely spacious/roomy. The insole is very comfortable. I ordered my regular size and I had no issues putting them on. I went to my local Keen’s distributor (REI) to check out their hiking shoes which are similar - try it!

These shoes are wonderful right out of the box! It took a bit of a learning curve to get them on, but once I did, wonderful room and comfortable foot beds. They have excellent traction and flex while walking and crouching. The breathable sock really holds your foot well, so no rubbing or irritation, even after 10 hours of fast walking! I will but Keen again. Excellent construction, stability, and comfort.

For a composite toe shoe it was very comfortable right out of the box. Didn't have to break them in too much before wearing them to work. The only real dislike I have is the webbing around the top of the shoe. When I first got the shoes they were hard to get on because of the webbing.

The shoes work well. They have a little extra room in case you wear thick socks.

These are great, the nice traction, hard toe for protection. Comfortable shoe. Style isn’t great, but you forget that after you have worn them. Looks aren’t everything!

They felt comfortable and very roomy toe box but just to big in length for me i could stick my finger down in the heel, so the toes were also hitting wrong place along with my arch too big so i sent them back. Overall nice shoe though if you have proper fit . heavier and stiff as i expect with this type of shoe.

I have another pair of KEEN work shoes and their inner/sole is the most comfortable. For that reason they are my first choice usually. This design is cute, but has an inner sock/liner glove like a waterproof shoe might have. I cannot stretch it to get my foot inside the shoe.

Love the look and style of the shoe. Only wish that the tongue was not completely attached to the shoe. You will need to slip these on your feet due to the tongue being completely attached to the shoe. My foot was slipping out of the shoe while walking, therefore I had to send back Overall a nice shoe but a bit hefty for my liking.

Initially rubs your heel, need to wear a thicker sock with it.

Purchased the size 10 wide. The toe box feels plenty wide but the middle of the foot feels pretty narrow. As other reviews have said, the webbing restricts how much the shoe can open. Also, I clearly received a returned item. The bottom was dirty, the plastic grommets for the shoelace was broken, and the webbing is tearing on one shoe. If I am ordering a new item, I kind of expect it to be in new condition.

The fiber toe was not a good fit from the get go for 180 deliveries a day, maybe another kind of work.... also shoe was too hard for my feet ? I was very tired when I got home. There's a lot of potential there though.

This is a heavy, steel toed shoe. I returned because as a shopper I need support, not extra weight to carry around while I walk the stores.

Was really looking forward to this shoe. After I put them on and took one step, I put them back in the box. They were so stiff, the crease dug into the tops of my feet. I work 12 hours shifts. They would have killed me. Can't return them fast enough!
