My kid is rough on shoes, but these withstood the abuse better than other brands.

My five year old loves these shoes- they've been perfect for hikes and travelling and all the regular, every day craziness of being an active five year old. Great colors, too!

This is another great sneaker. Light and comfortable, and although the sole was fairly worn down by the time my kid outgrew the shoe after about 6 months, the upper held up nicely (no tears or falling apart).

This shoe is unbelievable. Both my kids have a pair for almost two years and we've gone ok so many hikes and adventures in these shoes. They still look brand new (no exaggeration!!). The kids never complain about them being uncomfortable. I'm buying them the next size up and plan to keep sizing up for as long as they make these shoes!!

There seems to be limited availability for children's wide shoes. We found these, and are extremely happy with them. They look great, are durable, and more importantly, fit my son perfectly. Will buy again.

My 10yr old son loves these shoes. They're comfortable for walks & hikes, very lightweight. He's worn them all day with no complaints' He prefers them over his higher end tennis shoes. Fits true to size.

I love these shoes for my boys. They are great for hiking, school, playground play. I like an all-purpose shoe for kids & these are more stylish than most others.

I bought these for my three y/o son, and he loves them! We have taken them on runs around the block, and hikes in the woods, and they have been great for both adventures. They are his daily wear shoes for school too, and he has no complaints about being in them all day long. It seems that they are comfortable for him, as he will normally request them with the exception of his rain boots when he plans to stomp in rain puddles. We have gotten them wet a few times, and they dry fairly quickly. The material seems breathable enough for him throughout the day. Traction is good for those hikes and nature walks. I plan to just size up when the time comes, because he loves them.

Excellent hiker for my 6 year old. Went on a day hike and he stayed way ahead of us. Great shoe.

Got these for my twins first real hiking shoes. They love them and are much more confident in taking on climbing without worries of slipping as much. They also said they can jump higher and for a five year old they are perfect!

I moved from the flat trails of Florida to hilly Virginia. These shoes get the job done for a beginner on the trails. My family and I take a weekly 3-4 mile trek and these shoes are comfy. I wear thick socks with them so I ordered a half size up and they fit just right. The material is warm but breathable. I could go for a tiny bit more cushion but I'll add new insoles if it becomes a big deal. I plan on ordering for the kids as well. These were well worth the $

Bought for school and play! My kid wears these everyday! He loves them and has never complained about his feet while hiking, biking or playing!

I read plenty of reviews on Merrell products to know to order .5-1 size up! My daughter LOVES these and I'm already contemplating ordering more in bigger sizes so she'll have them for several years. She loves that the bottoms are "sticky" and she can climb anything she wants without fear of falling. Was so worried that the ground would take the stickiness away - lol! These are WONDERFUL shoes!
