These sandals are comfortable to wear all day straight out of the box.

I new I had to replace my favorite thong style summer shoes but these didn't look quite as snug. Well, I tried them on and they have a lot more support than a regular flip flop style shoe. I walk long distances in these shoes and I need them to grip my foot and have true arch support and feel like a sneaker under foot. These fit the bill. I'm a happy customer, as usual!

The sandals are super comfortable but the material caused the blister on the upper external part of my foot. I was talking a long walk on the beach and by the time a two hour walk was done, I had a very painful blister and skin irritation on the exterior part of my foot. I have been using Merrell shoes for a number of years now and they never disappoint. I recommend for Merrell to take a look at this material and change it to a smoother material.

I like these and know I'll be glad I have them after I get a size bigger, but they definitely ran small on me. Just looking at them when I pulled them out of the box I could see that they looked short. Am returning them for a size up.

Comfortable Flip in pretty blue! Not a favorite in the extremely hot weather of Texas. Foot odor issue unfortunately. Will try another sole next time.

My wife and I both got matching sandals and both liked the a lot. Very grippy both for the foot and with the ground, whether on the beach, pool side or out for a walk.

Fit a little weird. Purchased an 8 and that's my larger size and they seem almost to small. I feel like a 9 would probably be to large and I think the issue is due to where the strap is, like it's too far back. Wish I could have tried the 9 on to see if it would have been any better.

Shoes run a bit small but they're kinda boring

These sandals are built to last. Comfortable yet sturdy and have a nice tread on bottom that will help around any summer splash you may encounter. Size was true to size, if anything I would go up a half size if questioning.

The bottom is not smooth and difficult for an older person to walk with them on concrete

After my fav. flips were discontinued, I have purchased both versions of these. I like that these have arch support, but they have started to smell, which I never had an issue with on the other ones, so not sure what that's about. I wear them nearly every day and love them, but agree about the whole "heel hanging off the end" thing. Since my other ones are smelling, I decided to break in the ones I ordered earlier this summer (and to not save them for next year or when a foster dog eats my current ones!) I guess I may have to look for something else for next year if the stinky issue doesn't get addressed. I have tried sanitizing them, bleach cleaner spray them and it seems okay initially, but then the smell comes back within a day or two. For such an expensive flip, I would expect better.

Merrill sandals of similar design used to be much better quality and easier to wear. But they were also more expensive. I wish I could find better quality Merrill sandals with the arch support.

I bought the breakwater flip for wet mornings walking in grass- I love that the footbed didn't feel slimy or start to stink! Unfortunately one of the thongs pulled out of the sole so I had to scrap them.

They run smaller then actual size. Pretty hard feel/ not very comfortable.Little disappointed.

I have purchased 2 pair of these since May. Both pairs have blown out the strap between the toe so it is too big to wear. I wear them everyday. Not happy that they don't hold up.

These things have great traction and an extra little bump for height at the heel. I recently ordered a few pairs of shoes- all the same size. These are borderline to small- like the EXACT size of my foot and my toes almost go over the edge. Size up half and they'll be perfect

These run smaller than most. I wear an 8.5 and flip flips I usually can wear an 8. Not these. I will have to exchange them for a 9. The part that connects to the bottom really rubbed my foot. I hope this was just because of the sizing issue.
