Fit and support was fine. But the sole is a hard plastic, as opposed to the the "same" model from years ago that had more of a suede fabric on the sole. The plastic means that wearing them to walk is harder on your skin than the previous material--which I wear all the time without socks to walk for about 2 miles a day (I hate tennis shoes and socks). So the sandals are functional--but not nearly as good as what the previous material provided.

I am disappointed and have to return these. I have several pairs of Merrell flip flops that I love but are approaching ten years old and are getting too ratty to wear out in public. I had high hopes these would have the same supportive sole but they do not. I wish Merrell would bring back the old styles. Also the straps were a bit loose although they could be adjusted somewhat.

I really like the look of these, but the straps are so loose that my feet flop around. And the sole of the shoes is so stiff and thick that just won't work. The footbed is a decent match for my foot size (a little larger than my foot but not huge), but with the loose straps, these are just too big.

As other reviewers noted, these are a little bigger - not the footbed but the space that accommodates the thickness of a foot. For me it’s not too much and is just a matter of getting used to them.

I love Merrell and have worn their Hollyleaf sandals for years. I can no longer find them so I'm searching for a replacement. This isn't it. The Hollyleaf has enough strap to be supportive without flip flopping across a room. This is not much more than a beach flip flop. Too bad.

These Sandler are very comfortable and easy to wear.

These flip flops are great. They have nice support, and I know I will wear them a lot all summer. I've worn Merrells for years and know I can rely on them to fit properly.

These are my second pair. First ones finally gave out- I don’t remember how old they were, but more than expected life. I purchased as water/ flip flops- really more for utility than style, but they are good looking. Not really a flip flop- substantial sole. Really love them.
