The shoes are lightweight and very comfortable from the first moment I put them on. I went hiking in a tree farm. The terrain was uneven and a bit soggy. These boots held up extremely well. This is the second pair of Merrells I own and I expect them to last as long as my other pair.

Most comfortable hiking boot I've worn to date. The wide sizes were made for feet like mine while still providing good support! Happy camper!

This remains an excellant hiking boot and really like that it is water proof.

I've only been wearing these for about a month, but so far they live up to my expectations.

Great boots. My fifth or sixth pair. I walk on pavement, beach and forest. Light weight, great support, and look good.

Where can't you go with your MOAB's. We took ours hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. What an experience !

I do a lot of outdoor activities and these shoes are a perfect combo for working and playing in the great outdoors. Since breaking my back years ago, my feet got wider and the wide width of these shoes coupled with the excellent support provide me with comfort through out the day.

I love these boots. They give good support, but are spacious enough to let my feet breathe. I am on my second pair. My first pair took me all the way over the Pyrenees, across Spain on the Camino de Santiago, and further still to Finisterre, Muxia, and the Atlantic Ocean.

I bought a pair for myself and my wife in prep for a trip to Utah, and they didn't disappoint. There was only one drawback that I'll address at the end of this review. First, these are ready to go right out of the box-no break in necessary. My wife experienced a bit of chaffing on the Achilles area, but I equate that to her not wearing boots (I wear boots on a daily basis). We started hitting the trails and these boots make you stick to whatever surface you're walking on, including rocks that exceed an angle of 60 degrees. I was able to traverse various terrain quickly and never once slipped. They also do a solid job of keeping out debris, minus the "moon dust" that was found in Canyonlands NP. However, that was at a minimum so I'd say it's negligible. Not one blister, hot spot, or sore feet after nearly 2 weeks of hiking every day in Torrey and Moab. My pair were the waterproof variety, and in the 70-80 degree days they held ina great deal of heat. My wife's pair were not waterproof and she said her feet weren't hot at all. The only drawback-I tried these on at a local store and they fit perfect. I ordered them direct from merrell, and when they arrived they were tighter than the pair I tried on, so there may be some inconsistency in manufacturing. I was able to swap them for a like pair and the second pair fit fine. For that, I'd recommend trying on several pairs to ensure you find one that fits your feet the way you want it to. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with these boots and look forward to logging more miles on them out on the trails.

These boots are very comfortable, I purchased them for spring turkey season and have put several miles so far and they have been great.

These are the best hiking boots by far.no others come close. I wear these every day from fall to spring. This is my fourth pair in ten years. The most comfortable.

I slid my foot aplied some weight and immediately new I picked the right boots. The only thing I can kind of compare then too is the first time I put on my Redwing work boots... and I'll be honest havnt purchased another type of work boot since. Love them

I've been buying this shoe for over 12 years and although I've tried others I always end up liking the Moab waterproof the best.

Well made hiking boot and wears well. Easy to break in. I'm wearing mine walking the cobblestone streets of Amsterdam.

Wide is such a nice touch. Comfortable from day 1

These are my go to walking shoes. I have been buying Merrills for 15 years. I walk everyday, weather dependent. In the winter I put on ice chains and start putting on miles. My winter shoes are wide size to allow for heavy socks. In the summer I wear a medium size. I have a high instep and these shoes help support my feet.

This is my 3rd pair of Moab shoes. I love the combination of comfort and style. They have taken me on many journeys. I hiked the Grand Canyon South Kaibab and Bright Angel in them. I kayaked the James river in them. The laces usually wear out before the shoes. The mid level height hives me the ankel support I need, and they are adaptable to my orthopaedic inserts.

Nice stable boot at a reasonable price. I have had several pairs of this boot, both mid and regular shoe height. Like them all.

The shoes are a little heavier than I anticipated but the fit and comfort is great. This is my 5th or 6th pair of Merrell shoes and I love them.

Who'd a thunk it. Boots so much like Keen brand. AND,,,,Save money too. They are excellent hiking boots. And they look great too. But beware, it feels like they may be a 1/2 size too small. When I bought these I had just taken off my Keens to try these on. They felt great. I walked around the store for quite a while before making my decision to purchase them. I even wore them home. But the next day after wearing them for a couple of hours, my feet hurt a bit. I'm still wearing them and hoping they start feeling better. MOAB 2 mid. But as far as a review, I will still give them a 41/2 out of 5. I'm looking forward to a great pair of hikers.
