Great hiker shoe, especially for someone with low volume feet and a narrow heel. This is my 4th pair (over the last 10 years) of Siren Edge by Merrell. That says it all.

This is my third pair of these shoes! Both comfortable and supportive--winning combination, for sure. Many other styles rub my ankles. This style is cut low enough to eliminate that problem.

I LOVE these shoes: I bought them as a light hiker or for long day walks. I did not expect to wear them daily, but that's what I've ended up doing b/c they are so versatile. Fit and support are as expected. Note the upper is a meshy material, so not the best choice for very cold weather. My feet have gotten wet standing in puddles (though they are theoretically waterproof). The ONLY disappointment is that the uppers have wear holes in them while the soles are still in great shape. Merrill has been my go-to brand for many years, but this is the first time I've had this experience with a shoe of theirs. (Shoes in photo below are about 1.5 years old).

Love the shoes and the Vibram soles but they are a little too narrow in the toe box. Only one star for Comfort because of that.

I liked the look & it seemed like they'd be pretty comfortable, but there was a weird bump between my heel & arch on both shoes so I knew it wasn't a defect.

I have bought at least 8 pairs of Merrells. The sizing is consistent and they fit me perfectly. They have a great tread! However, I wore through the Siren Edge 3 in less than 6 months of summer hiking. They lasted 2 years previously. I wore them last summer, put them away for the winter and this spring in less than a week or two, the mesh just gave way - it was already looking worn at the end of the summer. I also didn't feel this pair had enough cushioning (I wear with orthotics - one of the reason I love Merrells is that they take orthotics). After a three hour hike, I had serious foot pain. I think the quality may not be what it was in this particular design. I am going to try the Moab 2 Ventilator this time round. Hoping that they are sturdier for my needs.

These shoes are great. I have a number of issues- arthritis in my knee, a torn meniscus, arthritis in my big toe, and was having ankle issues and a variety of other knee/tibia issues - ALL on the right side. After years of wearing running shoes with rocker bottoms, I found I couldn't any more. They were much to soft and my feet always hurt in them. I needed a shoe with a firmer bottom. These are perfect! My feet love them, the pain in my ankle went away and even my knee area is doing so much better. I realize this is a lot of info about my aches, but I found it was helpful in finding these shoes when people describe the issues they are having and whether the shoes helped or not. These shoes are great for all my conditions! Highly recommend. Also get the wide, as the medium width were too narrow.

I've only gone a few miles in these so far, but I'm very pleased. Hiked to Jefferson rock and all around town. Very comfortable, fit is great(bought my regular size), good traction & arch support for me. The only thing I might deduct 1/2 a star for is that while I love the color, the material outside looks cheap. Not Merrels usual quality of look.

These shoes are FANTASTIC!!!!! I ordered them for a trip we took to California where we trapped all over the national parks, Muir Woods, Sequoias, Yosemite. Not one blister, or sore foot complaint from me on any of the days. Hiking for hours and hours. And I have extremely high arches that can lead to fatigue very easily. In fact, there were multiple times where I told my husband how happy I am that I got these shoes!! I could climb and hike without slipping or falling. I did, incidentally slip and get hurt one of the days of our trip, however, it happened to be one day I didn’t wear these shoes. So that one’s on me! ;P I would recommend these shoes over and over again!

I do a lot of walking and day hikes that don't call for serious hiking boots/shoes. I wore out a previous pair of Merrell's after over 25 years! I always size up by half a size for more room for cushioned socks. The 9M even with my big toe bunion fit perfectly. The shoes are lighting and provide a soft cushion feeling. The are not clunky and so very comfortable. Have not gotten them wet yet so hopefully the waterproofing keeps my feet dry. They're not super stylish, but that's not what they're made for. I like the nice neutral Aluminum/Boulder color. Can't say enough about how these shoes feel on my 66 year old feet!

These shoes are so incredibly comfortable and supportive. No break in period. Wore them hiking 25 miles in a weekend in Zion national park. My feet have never been happier

These are my 4th pair of Merrell's, the 2nd pair of the Siren Edge 3: love them, Merrell's fit me perfectly. I ordered a size 9, one up from my normal, every day shoes, because I wear an orthotic in my walking shoes and hiking shoes. I walk 16-20 miles a week, these are great shoes. Thanks Zappos for free shipping.

Love Merrill’s. Great quality (this is my second pair of the same style). Not clunky or heavy. Good support for a walking shoe.

I have a pair of just about every Merrell sneaker/trail runner/light hiker (in different colors, of course). What I like most about these are that they are lighter than the other. My feet don't feel as weighed down as with the others. They are just as comfortable and supportive as the other ones. I think they are a more natural fit. They are now my go to shoes.

Love these shoes. They are so comfortable! It’s my third pair in this style. It fits snug through the middle and has a wide toe box. I have neuropathy, and they are the only shoes that support my feet in the right way. They’re great.

Took my first walk in these shoes, and they met my high expectations for comfort and stability. I ordered these wanting a lighter shoe after falling in love with my Merril Moab hiking shoes. They have a similar feel, but a lighter look. I need a stable sole and a wide toe box. And what I like about both my Merril's is how the heel is solid yet comfortable. There are more stylish shoes out there, but none deliver the stability of the Merril's I own for my daily walks and hikes. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I wear an 11 medium width.
Fit perfectly. Very comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis and her good support with this shoe.

Fit perfect with great arch support but insole is not as padded as I had hoped, so I’ll probably purchase gel inserts.

I'm pleased with these. I wanted a shoe for travel that includes walking and light hiking. I removed the factory insert and used my usual orthotic for plantar fasciitis. These look less "tennis shoe" or "hiking boot" and so can be worn more places and look decent. They make my feet look smaller (if that's possible!). I took them on an "moderate"-rated hike in the Sonoran desert this weekend and they performed well on dry rock and gravel.
