Bought these for my dad as a gift and he loves them.

I've had these shoes a month or so now and I love them. They were super comfortable right out of the box and they are nice and supportive. I'm a server at a camp in the woods, so I both have to hike around the camp and be on my feet for long days and these have proven to work well for both so far. I did put gel inserts in for some extra cushion but I'm a big person and I pretty much have to do that with any shoes I'm going to wear all day long. The soles are rugged enough to handle the terrain but the body of the shoe is soft and forgiving. The suede is definitely getting scuffed up from the trails but I'm less concerned about that, it seems to be just cosmetic. I usually wear an 11 in women's shoes and I have wide feet. For these I ordered a men's 9.5W and they fit great.

For me the wide width is a perfect fit. Very comfortable on long walks across our property.

Got these boots on Friday and on Saturday did a 12.30 km hike and the boots were great no need to brake in

Very stylish and comfortable and great for leisurely hikes. I've only had them a short amount of time, so I've only taken them on 2 hikes so far. They felt like really well built shoes and handled the trails well. I really like Merrells for their quality and because you can easily remove the soles, to either replace them or to add inserts, such as orthotics. I highly recommend Merrells to anyone who likes to hike or backpack regularly.

So far so good. This boot has a shoe like feel that is awesome.

Bought these mainly because it was a stylish shoe offered in wide sizing which is rare (As much as I love the Moab 2 Ventilator, its not the prettiest shoe). However I was blown away when I first put them on as it fit like a glove and the insoles felt super cushioned. Recently used them in place of snow boots and it did pretty will keeping moisture out. Of course they're not insulated so I wouldn't use them for extended periods of time in the cold. If you're listening Merrell that's my subtle hint for you to make more of your winter boots available in wide sizes.

The last two pair of Merrell Boots I have purchased fell apart after a year. These have held up great thus far. I've been wearing them for 2 months now. Still would recommend water proof spraying these as it will help with the longevity of the boot

Needed a wide width fit with support that didn't feel feel heavy. Ordered these because my wife has the woman's version and she loves hers. I can't believe how lightweight yet supportive these hikers are. Great arch support. A nice brushed leather exterior. I really like the olive color. They come with 2 pairs of laces in case you don't like the orange.

I've been trying different shoes and boots while walking my dog and I found my favorite pair in this set. They feel like wearing comfy slippers while retaining the good grip of a Merrell. I wish they weren't a limited offering because I'd like another pair.

Fit was perfect out of the box, very comfortable all day long whether walking/hiking or just hanging around. My only complaint is the laces are impossibly long, had same problem with last pair of Merrell's I bought a few months ago. They constantly get catch my opposite shoe even though they are double tied.

By far the best pair of boots I have own, super light, true fit to size and very supportive. I loved them so much I even bought a pair for my wife, since she wanted a lighter pair than her previous Merrell. She loves her pair as well. On average we hike 3 to 6 miles and these work perfect! All around a great boot! Would definitely recommend to any hiker.

This is my first official boot. My first impression is that its extremely comfortable, lightweight and seemingly durable. I haven't really pushed it to the test yet but so far it has served me well and I'm looking forward to getting long term use out of it. I can see why Merrel is a go to brand for hiking boots.

From the first moment I saw the Erie's, i wanted one. I love the retro look with the slanted style. I bought the olive first and then got the gold. The feel is great. These go great with jeans, khakis, even shorts.

If you've tried wide width biking boots and felt like you had flippers or like you could water ski on them these are different. Still accommodating to wide feet but man oh man are they comfortable. I typically hike with a bag weighing in about 45lbs I myself am a short round fellow weighing in at about 200lbs. I have an old ankle injury from a car accident, compound fracture that occurred about 18yrs ago and my ankle never lets me forget that it's there. Normally I switch to a lighter camp shoe or sandal once we set up camp. I stayed in these boots the whole weekend. They were really comfortable. Part of our hike is hopping rocks down a river in the white mountains and these shoes are real grippy. I had a wicked good time and didn't feel nearly as sore.
