I have had 2 pairs of the Chameleon 8 stretch for over a year. Comfortable, great fit, well made, and durable! I love the bungee laces for quick and easy on and off. I'm always in a hurry and have always hated tying and untying my shoes. I will buy another 2 pairs when these wear out.

Hands down my favorite shoes. Feel like they're already broken in when I first put them on. I have been wearing Merrell shoes since the early nineties. Definitely some of the best shoes there are.

I walked the entire Camino de Santiago--Camino Francis, Muxia, and Finisterre, 562 miles with these shoes--Chameleon 8 Stretch. I was in them for 42 days. I did this hike during the Summer of 2022. I walked in urban areas, country trails, up hills and down hills with scree, and mountain trails--the Pyrenees Mountain trails outside of St. jean Pied de Port, France to Pamplona, Spain. While others were getting blisters, I did not. I owe this feat to the fact that I had the right shoes, a 33 L pack with water (11 pounds on my back), and light hiking poles for added support. As a result of the Chameleon 8 Stretch Non Waterproof design features, my feet were able to breathe, especially during hot days. Also, this shoe stretched as my foot expanded during the day. I had great support and traction due to the Vibram sole. The shoe dried quickly after I walked through a stream and was rained on. Trail debris such as sand, pebbles, and small twigs, did not enter the shoe. The elastic cord and lock lacing system were convenient if adjusting was needed while on the trail. My advice to you is to please try on many shoes prior to attempting long hikes to see what works for you. Please think about how much you will carry in your pack because that will alter the design of the shoe or boot you will need. This shoe works for me as a light hiker. I am 5'8" and 185 pounds, size 9.5 D, and physically fit.

My son wears these everyday and they last for about two years. Definitely worth the money.

I bought these from a shoe store on the way to Tennessee from Alabama in March 2019. I've been wearing them almost every day for everything and they have more than served me well. I do wish I would've gotten the waterproof version, but besides that, they are perfect. Comfortable enough to wear at work all day, and can even walk home in them and no foot pain afterwards. I've put countless miles on them and they show no signs of giving out anytime soon. My first pair of Merrells and I will definitely be buying more when i need them.

If it wasn't for Merrell replacing the paper-thin insoles and the excellent comfort and support, I would have rated these shoes lower. They are still a challenge to put on. But once on, they are every bit as comfortable as my other pairs of Merrell hiking shoes.

These are such a comfortable hiker. The fit is great and the look is fantastic. I have other Merrell hikers rhat were cheaper but these are definitely my favorite and most comfortable.

I love Chameleons, I've worn them for years and this pair continues a comfortable and dependable tradition. I recommend them highly and use multiple pairs.

Chameleon 8 stretch are great shoes. They have been comfortable to wear from the time I pulled them out of the box. I love the way I can slip them on and go whether heading out on the trail or running to town.

This is my second pair of chameleons. I'm still using the other one for lawn purposes. They are well built and comfortable to wear. My first pair is what drew me into the Merrell brand.

I discovered this brand and type of shoe about 10 years ago, and it's the only type I feel comfortable in today. I wear them until they're worn out and always have new ones ready to swap out.

Great shoe, very comfortable. Order was delivered on time, great customer service. This is my 6 pair of Chameleons and I had 4 pairs of Moabs.

As predicted, no break-in needed. First wearing: did some Hawaiian Island hiking the Kauai red dirt never looked better than under the soles of my brand new Merrells.

Great product as always. Phenomenal. I have no doubts this shoe will last a long time. I broke them in at Disneyland and didn't experience any discomfort, blisters, etc., even after walking over 22,000 steps. Thank you.

I bought these to hopefully aide in a new job I got working in a grocery store- in a position where I'd be standing and walking for 8 hours or more. They are worth every penny. I can come home and relax after a shift with minimal knee and back pain because they cushion my feet just right. They take a bit to break in, but I love them regardless. I recommend these for people in my same position!

My 2nd pair, I like em for their comfort and convenience. Looking forward to spring and hiking in these new guys!

This is an extremely comfortable shoe. I wore them everyday on a trip to Alaska last Spring. It didn't matter if I was wearing them hiking, driving, or even on a 7+ hour train ride, they performed and felt great for all activities
