Comfortable and durable... love the shoe!!! Stylish to wear with jeans and rugged enough for hiking and yard work.

I bought these, my 3rd pair, as garden shoes. Before you laugh, you should see my yard. It has about 100 ft of vertical including a 30 ft cliff, and is very rocky, so Wellys will not cut it. Merrell C8S have great soles, toe and heel protection and plenty of heel support so walking cross slope is doable, even at 71 with a new knee. Being a pull-on instead of a lace up is a big benefit, removing what economists call a "barrier to entry", a disincentive because of the incremental effort required. I used to have some high lace-up boots for garden use, very supportive, but they took forever to put on. No longer an issue. Highly recommended for light-medium use

This my third pair of Chameleons. Originally, I was looking for a light trail/strolling shoe. They have become my everyday wear. My first pair were a lighter color and word out perfectly. I wore them to do pretty much everything except heavy mountain climbing. (I leave that to my Limmer customs). The some finally got too thin. Based on my early good experience with the first pair, I bought a pair of the Black Chameleons to keep in reserve. U liked the first pair, I didn't want to risk a change in the recipe. After the first pair, I resorted to the Blacks as my everyday wear. They did not hold up as well.. the outer toe area split from the sole. Not good for keeping feet dry by they were still comfy. As the second pair was wearing, I went back to a pair of the lighter colored shoes. Put them on and I can barely tell they're different than the shoes I've been wearing for 16 months. Hope they hold up as well. Let's just hope the recipe is the same next time U need new shoes.

True to size but still very comfortable shoe, solid support but not too wide, feels great when driving my manual transmission car (WRX) for some reason they double as great driving shoes. Love the minimalist approach, you don't even need to tighten the bungee laces. The locking mechanism is a bit fiddly and my big heel struggles to get inside the neck of the shoe, but once in fits like a glove. Very happy customer.

I was shooting a concert for Billy Idol at the Hoover Dam and one of his road crew had these shoes on I asked him how they held up to tour life and he talked to me about these shoes for the next 30 minutes! He loves these shoes! So when I got back home I ordered myself a pair! I feel like they're a little heavy but oh man do they feel good on my feet! I am recovering from plantar fasciitis and these issues are not only beneficial to me because of the excellent support, also they look pretty dang cool. I mean it, they are a great looking shoe!! I haven't been hiking but I did shoot a concert at red rocks recently with them and they held up great! The abrasive dirt cleaned right off of them and they look brand new even after spending three days working at red rocks.

These are the most worn shoes out of the pair of 3 that I own. I have had these shoes for over a year and I still chose to wear them over some other shoes that I have.

Comfortable and durable. I put many miles on my last pair over the course of two years. No hesitation replacing with another of the exact same type.

This is my second pair - very comfortable, they do not slip on the foot, provide great traction when hiking, camping or doing chores

Can’t be happier with my Chameleon 8 Stretch. My all time favorite is Chameleon 4, but the 8 is very close. I bought two pairs, in case Merrel do away with this great design like what they did after 4.

Love this show, over the years I have probably bought 6 pairs of these and have loved every pair. To me it's like putting on a sock, they are so comfortable and they last about a year

I wear these everyday, everywhere. They're comfortable, have great traction, no hotspots after hours of hiking in the desert.

These shoes were as fine as I remembered my original pair being, bought maybe 10 years ago? However I have gotten accustomed to hiking in shoes with a wider toe box, and am disappointed to find that the Chameleon Stretch medium width now feels too narrow for me.

Love this shoe!!! I bought for working and the occasional hike but they're so comfortable I just wear them every wear. Buying a second pair now as they've replaced pull on boots for me.
They run big. I'm usually an 11 and the 10.5 fits perfect.

My husband is a diabetic and his podiatrist says these are great shoes for his condition. He has worn Merrill"s for many years. Great support even on the golf course.

I am a long time Chameleon Stretch fan as the shoes are light weight, with strong soles, breathable, and quick drying. My work often takes me to a refugee camp in the semi desert of extreme northwest Kenya. They are the perfect shoe for the harsh environment. But I also wear them daily back home in Minneapolis as they are so very comfortable and well suited for just about any environment or terrain.

Second pair. I hike 5 days a week and these are my go to boots in the dry winters in the high desert. a bit higher on the ankle for great support. I'm up between 6-9000 elevation so can't get those sprained ankles if I don't have to. True fit, I have 8-10 pair of different Merrills, always a size 12
